Robert Berry of SiX By SiX Interview on MisplacedStraws.com
We loved the interview. Nate is doing great as CJ and the Blaze expected. We feature Nate Peck in a candid interview and footage of Nate arriving at the Blaze Ranch in Nashville on the first night in town. Nate sings a few songs with blaze, We hope you that you can catch it when it is published.
The second album did not have great songs or Jack's tone. That was difference between the first and second record. I have nothing but love and respect for Carlos but he was not a good fit for that band.
What a great band.. you guys look great!
Great album
i was born the same day and year as Al. Thanks for the interview.
Love that Joe Deninzon can scratch so many itches....His band Stratospheerius, while being the new dynamic talent taking Kansas further. What a pleasure to watch, and thank you for this interview !! ✌
Personally I could see Al wanting to be there to say hey, we all did something special at the time that we did. Head Games was an okay album with a few great songs. Dirty White Boy, Head Games, then a few ehhh like Love On The Telephone, Blinded By Science, Seventeen. And the rest were mostly filler like Ill Get Even With You. Just one of those albums were you would play the first few songs over and over and forget the rest
This was so great to hear Al's take on the very beginning and how Foreigner quickly grew to massive stardom! He is very gracious when talking about the past and highlighting the positive aspects - maturity and wisdom will do that to us. Such a good interview, thank you to Al for his humbling honesty.
Great interview.
Great Interview!
Great interview! Al Greenwood is such a humble talented guy!! 💪 What a treat to hear from him. Would have loved to hear some specifics on what keyboard parts he played - and hear him demonstrate a couple of things. Wish you would have displayed the Double Vision album in the background instead of Foreigner 4... for obvious reasons! 😜
I just wish that if you’re going to do an interview, spend a little time prior familiarizing yourself with the questions so you don’t have to read them.
You have the same move when lightening your cigarette. I cover it with hand too❤
I feel a little shame of myself because i discovered Blaze music just a few months ago, and i felt identified with his comments about fans like me, i really love his first album Silicon Messiah. And it is taking me some time to get into the other albums, and the last two are wonderful for me. I hope Blaze continue to making more his great music. Tanks for the interview, it helps me to understand him a little more. And by the way, sorry for my poor english, it's not my first language just like Blaze said.

Search my page, I’ve interviewed a lot of those people
Would LOVE to know what the keyboards are that were used on songs like Prime Of Your Life, Gangs In The Street, and Lucky Ones. Anyone? Such an iconic 80s staple and sound!
Love hearing all about the differrent influences from each member and how they came into play to make the new album a banger! \m/
In 2024 still 🤘🏾❤️👏🏽💯!!
It’s a shame two of the members have already passed away & will never know their honor of being inducted into the RRHOF. Mick is also in bad health. I read he’s suffering from Parkinson’s disease!! Thank goodness Lou is still here after surviving a very serious life threatening brain tumor!!!
Dean is still a smoke show.
Freaking visas!! Ugh!!
Hey there are already thousands of eclipse fans here in the USA come on over guys!!
Such a pleasure Jeff thanks for having me on your show ❤
Micky is the best easily
I'm gonna take a guess & say Billy Joel will end up inducting Foreigner. Billy & Mick are great friends plus it was Billy who inducted Mick & Lou in the songwriters HOF.
The members that are going to be inducted are Mick, Lou, Dennis, Al, Ian, Ed & Rick.
I love everything Doug Aldrich but to be honest I can't get into the Dead daisies. I love Glenn Hughes and never liked corabi except in the scream..... I wish Doug Aldrich would do something else with kal swan and bad moon rising or another burning rain project...
I still haven’t gotten over the greed and backstabbing by Mick Jones against Lou Graham when it came to the song “I wanna know what love is,” where Mick stole all the rights to the song, while Lou played a major factor in that song. Mick made millions and Lou nothing. I know I don’t stand alone in my views of what Mick Jones did. It was an extremely disgusting mark on Mick Jones, and deservedly so. He threw Lou under the bus to enrich himself. While the original band foreigner is a band I have favored in my life, the current band has not one original member. They aren’t anything other than a cover band. And to charge the concert fees they’re asking for is a travesty. Glad they’re being inducted. Long overdue!
Yes. You’re so right. You’re are not alone in your belief for sure!!!
Best Canadian band ever!!
Excellent interview
Lou Gramm is the man!!
Nate Your mother brought you up on the right type of music. Todays sorta speak hit music is a bunch of elementary kids trying play and sing music which is absolutely SHIT!!!!!
as a live band, they are probably Better than Ever.....
The original Foreigner is being recognized not the tribute band.
One of THE best guitarists and singers EVER! STAY HEALTHY RIK! Thanks for all of the GREAT music!
Hello🤘🏻🌹
@RikEmmett08 HI! So nice that you responded! Thank you. Hope you've been doing well. I think I heard that you've authored a book(s). I know you're quite busy, but if you get a chance , could I get the title? I'd love to read it. Enjoy your day!!!

Al Has A Beautiful Talking Voice!🙂
Rizz!!! What can I say? I've always been a believer in your sweet soul and beautiful spirit, 11:11 forever! ...and Troy Luccketta, I've always loved Tesla and your music/Beat. Also, I lived next door to T-Roy, so I couldn't be more excited about your union and the music to come! Cheers, and Congrats my friends, Can't wait to hear it all :)
Clapton was the first true lead guitarist. His work with the Bluesbreakers started the “God” thing. Nobody played guitar like that up to that point. SRV was the greatest guitar player and I’m a huge EC fan.
Great interview however, they should keep the new version of foreigner out of the house rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame. They have nothing to do with the beginning. It is nothing but a karaoke band. Nobody would want to see brit Floyd with Pink Floyd. So ridiculous how they keep incorporating the fake version of the band.
I Disagree Kelly Hanson Is Great!
@@ForeignerFan74Kelly just copies Lou.😅😂
@@margueritemazzeo2904 Kelly Hanson Can Sing And Gets The Audience Involved!
@@ForeignerFan74 Yeah..by singing all the songs that Lou made famous..Kelly just showboating off Lou's name and fame.
Kelly Is Wonderful With The Fans!@@margueritemazzeo2904
Great job Jeff
Great interview Jeff
I think Mickey should record John Prince’s song, ‘Silent Night all Day Long’. I love Mickey and JP.
Cool interview
Good job Jeff.
Great interview. That first Foreigner record is still in my top 10 of all time, and Al Greenwood's keys were one of biggest early influences as a musician, both with Foreigner and Spys. I am so glad to see Foreigner and Al get the recognition they deserve. By the way...the split between Al and Mick was much more contentious than Al leads on, which is testament to Al's class and decency, with the focus being on the accomplishments versus the drama.
Al Greenwood, what a LOVELY man!!!!
I wonder why they got rid of Ed Gagliardi?
I heard mick and Lou didn’t like how Ed was being too creative with his bass playing, that they wanted a traditional bass player who would stay at the bottom end. That doesn’t seem sensical to me. I suspect personality conflict.
I heard a couple of stories that it was Dennis who convinced Mick to hire Rick after they got rid of Ed.
According to Lou Gramm. Ed Gagliardi actually play the bass lines the way he wanted rather than the way the songs were drawn up and it slowed down the recording sessions . Lou said also that Gagliardi was stubborn and after a while it got to be too much. So Mick fired Ed and after being told he was fired Ed fainted at hearing the news.
Excellent interview. I wore out my Foreigner 8 track the summer of 1977. My opinion is that it should be on the list of greatest debut albums of all-time. Those first 3 albums with Al and Ian are my favorites. Starrider is such a cool song.
agree - love Starrider and the first album
Enjoyable interview. When Al & Ian left the band it was my 1st heartbreak. Mr. Greenwood will always have my respect. ❤️ I'll never forget the 1st time I put my Aunt V's Foreigner Double Vision album on the turntable & was blown away. I loved the album so much I stole it, lol. A few months later I discovered the 1st record & was blown away again. Been a fan ever since.
Better late than never!!
Al Greenwood rules.
