Великобритания
Добавлен 12 сен 2017
Welcome to our channel. We are Gilbert and Johanna Summers, experts on Scotland for the visitor. We've worked with international publishers and national tourism organisations writing many guidebooks and websites. We've also guided travel media and private clients all over Scotland for 25 years. We now create light-hearted and useful videos about the places in Scotland that we love, especially to less well known locations off the beaten track. Many thanks for your support and interest. Please subscribe for lots of useful videos on all things Scottish.

Britannia - Royal Yacht or Royal Yawn?
Is the Royal Yacht Britannia a must see in Edinburgh? It describes itself as Scotland's top attraction. The former floating holiday home of the British Royal family is one reason to visit Leith, Edinburgh's historic port. Discover what we thought of the ship. Is it a good use of your time in Edinburgh or is there a more genuine and real experience to be gained by having a few whiskies in a traditional Leith pub?! ( Spoiler alert - we hated the boat in all its pomp and pointlessness - but don't let us put you off !)

#dundee #cities #scotland In this short video, I have a moment that sums up Dundee to me. It's friendly, down to earth, there's lots to see but above all I had a nice lunch! This maybe irrational, but this is what visitors remember when they travel.

Resident seals in the Moray Firth in Scotland have hauled themselves onto the beach - probably to digest a fishy meal. Now the tide is coming in, they are hanging on for a few minutes more!

Thanks, what a brilliant video. And such a cracking day of weather too. I was there on Sunday, enjoyed a beautiful day and stunning views of the Corrie fee which made up for the absolute white out conditions on reaching the summit of Mayar. Need to go back to do Dreish. 🙌☀️🥾🥾

This engine is not a jumbo, the jumbos were the nicknames for the Caledonian railway 294 class the engine in the video was a member of the Caledonian railway 812 class. The Jumbos were all scrapped a long time ago.
Old comment but according to Wikipedia both the 294 and 812 classes were nicknamed Jumbo
