I agree with you, but the reality of the situation is they're a business; they're about money even if it's underhanded. They'll abuse the community as much as they can get away with cause they know it works, they can still get money out of the community with a slight rebrand and hopes of a better future. We should've stopped supporting them when we learned they hired people that hated Halo, but getting everyone on board for something hardly works.

I’ve played halo almost everyday for the last 9 years. I played halo infinite for the first couple months and never touched it again. I feel sorry for y’all who can’t accept infinite is a bad game and move on from it

Halo Studios refusing to pay the people that are carrying this games fucking content (the forge map makers) is actually such a shot in the foot.

The halo community just needs to start going back to lan parties. Halo ce to 4 I know is able to do lan MCC I'm not sure any more bc all the updates it got with the weapon skins. Yeah lan parties just need to come back, but since everyone is PC idk if PC even allows games played offline.( no Internet at all)

I haven't played Halo Infinite for like almost, shockingly to me, for 2 years. Why shocking? I remember the registration for the test flight of Halo Infinite and I signed up for it since I 've been huge fan of Halo, put so much dedication, like it was main part reason why I love gaming. I thought I had high hope for Halo since I try to keep up the positive and hoping it won't flopped hard as Halo 5 first launched. But, the campaign was okay to me, but seeing how quality of infinite and being little late to save the games, like forge didn't arrive at launched, paying real money to buy actual armor and colors of armor, small selection of game mode, not even firefight arrived at launched as well. Until then I just discovered it now that it finally brought firefight and forge... but it doesn't convince me enough to comeback to the game and play it because... let face it. 343 just dosen't give any shit from hardcore halo fans, like in the community and myself, anymore. Halo MCC was one of the game that I still hop on and play it, not just for mods, custom game browser, it mostly for multiplayer and firefights for me and I don't even remember how bad the SBMM in social playlist was, plus hacker and cheater, issue with quitters. For when I say quitters, I get the rage quit or maybe they had some error connection, but I think there a glitch or issue where, let say 4 v 4 slayers, and as soon the game start, 2 of the teams had quit as it start. It weird but they had the feature to let you comeback if they were kicked out session, but they never did comeback, this happen sometime. I've acknowledge it that 343i had made statement and were aware about the issue, but they stop supporting MCC due to lack of funds or no resources, but this sounds like total BS to me because... obliviously they probably want every player in MCC to play infinite instead, to avoiding the cheater or hacker in multiplayer. Plus people stills buys MCC via Xbox store, Steam, Microsoft Store, despite not aware about the multiplayer is not functional. (Think of same situation of all classic COD on PC, Console since there still hackers and charging full price... it ridiculous.) When they announce 343i is gone and now it's Halo Studio, it still doesn't change anything at all and will give me hope for Halo, I heard news that Halo CE is getting remake but... this isn't going to give a hope still, because I lost trust with these industry already. Seeing Secret Level episode that were pitched and Microsoft saying "Nah." and I remember that 343i were pitched in to make an ODST game with Helldivers-like (Helldivers didn't exist it before) and they just denied it. No efforts bringing the fan favorites feature like duel-wielding, playable elites, classic menu, voice chat in pre-game lobby, SBMM wasn't even strict back then, good old classic way to earn armor or grind XP/cR to reach max ranks like Halo 3 and Halo Reach (Infinite has that but I don't like the Hero as max ranks.) and they previously hired people that obliviously hated halo to make a Halo games, which is even beyond wild and art style direction (Halo 4 and Halo 5). I can't keep up the with high hope and positive to Halo, and it like... the game is so specials to me in the past, I remember hopping on with the boys to play Halo 3 forge or finding out how to flip the Elephant, Great multiplayer and trying to grind for the armor or max ranks on Halo Reach. I didn't play Halo 2 or experience original xbox live in the past but my uncle had experience it before and saying it was greatest thing to happen in gaming era and midnight launch as well. But seeing Halo getting neglected or in shamble because what the industry doing to Halo or maybe because Microsoft dosen't want to prioritize Halo back to the way of glory days. All the news, community angered or upset, making bad decision and refused the offer to make Halo better as it whole., it already cross the line that I'm not going to support Halo Studio anymore or even play new Halo games made by the greedy industry or Microsoft too. I'll stick around with MCC or probably do the xbox 360 legacy halo game server, but... I want to thanked to old bungie,. that made Halo in past, for making a greatest video game all of time to me and they have my respect no matter what. p.s. sorry for the long comment, so much vent about this.

I waited nearly 3 years until I started with Infinite, because I was expecting an unfinished mess on release that takes months or years to bring to an okayish state, since it became the new normal with BF3 back then. Why should I stop playing it now that I had the best time with a new Halo in the last 3 months since Halo 3/ODST, Infinite's custom games and forge are the best version of it we ever had, and it finally plays like Halo again after the two useless CoD Halo's. Yeah, the sandbox is way too focused on precision weapons, kinda like Halo 2 back then, just in its own way, but I take that over part 3 of CoD Halo or the destiny test run that was Reach in its regular multiplayer. That Infinite failed to keep a big player base has also good sides, since it might be the reason why the BP is useless and only no BP is better than a useless BP xD. That they locked most armour parts behind paywalls doesn't even matter to me, I am way too used to seeing every player in the same blue/red Mark V or Mark VI armour anyway. Why even bother to buy more than your favourite colour for all your weapons and vehicles ones and never look at the shop again? This is not an RPG or dress up game, sure I used H3's and Reach's customization too, but I wouldn't have a problem with everyone being in Mark VI in H3 or Mark V b in Reach or in the standard Elite armour of both games. Sure, it sucks for you if you liked the customization some much, but compared to what BF, CoD and many others now do nowadays or the p2w bullshit of Halo 5, it makes Infinite look pretty good and player friendly.

I quit a long time ago. The disrespect towards the fanbase has always been annoying, but this was constant from launch to now. I tried so hard to push that Infinite was just different, not bad. Took an outside, non-halo fan view and its disgusting. I love Halo, always will. But I can't support devs that dont care about players.

Especially after the aggressive cosmetic monetization (Which most was free armor in Halo Reach) What they did to Joe (Who was one of the reasons I became a graphics programmer) should have been enough for everyone to stop supporting 343 and microcock as a whole. I uninstalled this pile of shxt game within 2 hours of it being installed. I figured it out, first. Its 80% strafe speed. Thats why that game has literally no potential. You cant even fxcking strafe. There has never and will never be a studio capable of making a good halo game. Not even bungie, who lucked into H1/2 and proved they never understood halo with reach. They dont know what halo is. They dont know what made it special. They dont even know what the formula ever was, nor have they ever even attempted to understand. They just want to make a should-be competitive game into the most casual pile of COD-baby garbage this franchise has ever seen. After all, you and I both literally CRY when we miss shots, right? I do like that Bungie's legacy in Halo: The Master Chief Collection has been preserved on the Xbox One, Xbox Series, Windows 10 on Microsoft Store, and on Steam. With everything from the base game of the Xbox Original and the Xbox 360 titles with the original visuals. But it's such a shame that 343i/Halo Studio and Microsoft doesn't want to support the Digsite Team for the work they've been doing to keep Halo on Windows alive. I generally hadn't played Halo Infinite since launch, and thought it was annoying that there wasn't better matchmaking list and didn't focus on the co-op campaign when it was close to being finished. It was just a online service game that wanted to be like Fortnite with no freedom of choice for your Spartan but a paywall. I never went back to Halo Infinite. The Halo Infinite campaign seems fine enough but they do disrespect the lore from Bungie's Halo but add their own lore to it. I don't think the details were there compared to Halo 5, but I feel like Halo 5 didn't have the same amount of modes compared to Halo 4. I think Halo 4 is still 343i/Halo Studio best game, but it's not the best game visually or with it's story. They've gotten worse with each entry and I've washed my hands with them since Halo Infinite. I'm just not interested with the Halo franchise compared to how it was in the 2000s. While with Gears of War, despite most people not liking the newer ones. I like that Gears of War 4, Gears of War 5 and the Hivebusters campaign DLC, as they are still respecting the original Epic Games lore while expanding more on it, as well as finding out more about the Locast hivemind and Myrrah. I'm definitely more excited to see what The Coalition will do next with Gears of War E-Day and Gears of War 6, as they hadn't disappointed me with how they've continued Gears of War campaign and it's multiplayer.

I literally only play the game for the Firefight at this point, played the Campaign once properly never again. Played the PVP with a mate that much better then me and the matchmaking was disgusting, couldn't even attempt to git good or git gud over the skill issue the enemy teams were that sweaty. I know thats cope bur the experience was that bad I couldn't be fucked playing pvp by myself. The only redeeming aspect that makes it "Infinite is the forge/ programmable AI that allows the community to make there own content indefinitely.

The SBMM in this game is the worst I’ve seen. Literally feels like matches are determined before the game even starts. You can feel it as you play from game to game.
