One of my favorite games of all time. I still play it every year at least.

I got lucky and somehow defeated him in six tries or maybe more. Tips for anyone struggling with this boss. - so first of all the devs patched out the cheese strategy where he gets stuck behind the invisible wall by the boss arena, but there are other ways to defeat him but it will not be a guaranteed first try but this strategy usually works. - first, you need the plantain fan from chapter 5, you get it once the chapter is concluded (make sure you do the secret area of chapter 5 to get the best ending too) - second, get the bat transformation that freezes opponents, extremely reliable once Erlang’s shield is down, it will cause you to get free hits in and build focus points, but don’t use it yet (I recommend using it after his second phase’s shield is down) - third, use the azure dome transformation, he won’t attack you and it will chunk down some of his shield and health (however he will transform too and attack you once you’ve delt enough damage) - fourth get the soak that refills Qi, it will help to recover both the fan and the bat transformation, and be resourceful with them, if Erlang attacks you while you summon the fan, it would be a waste. - fifth, if you lose, don’t worry and don’t be discouraged, this is extremely important. My strategy was to throw myself at the boss and see what can I do and what I can’t (via dodge and see through’s) so when I finally had some of his moveset down, I immediately got to work and beat him last second. And remember to use cloud step for this fight too, it’s extremely useful, as this will both let you replenish your Qi (via gourd) and use unveiling strike (which deals a considerable amount of damage) and one more thing DO NOT USE PLUCK OF MANY UNLSS HIS HEALTH IS EXTREMELY LOW. Hope this helps anyone reading, goodluck soldier.

I played lords of the fallen on ps4 when it was the prior game. It is burnt into my memory because the boss has that line of fire and killed me continuously. I didn't get very far. 😂the face guy looks like the kool aid 🎉 man

One thing that has always been consistent in souls games are the invincibility frames while dodging. Is that still maintained in Elden ring? What are the rules of dodging? Do you always avoid damage if you time your dodges perfectly?
