What was the problem
I definitely a bad conuter valve.
Sure wasn't pumping much. I have seen before if a shutter valve has let go and falling into the exhaust it will restrict flow out of that passage

Mercurys are junk
Just because the motor rums eith muffs and water doesnt mean it tuns like that umder load in the water ...i learned my kesson the hard way....aleayseet at a lake or river to yest drive bfore purchasing
I have a question about using those muffs. Can that cause my lower unit to burn up with those muffs since it’s not given the same I guess has been in the lake or the river? My father-in-law has a boat that’s acting up and it’s acting like the unit is burnt up. But he swears by the muffs

It's a new motor and control box/cables from Mercury. Just giving transparency to the customer that bought the motor

I don't understand how people do this kind of work with flip-flops on. Or even worse barefooted.
Well, when your working on a boat motor the last thing you want to do is get in a boat with shoes on. However motor is not in the boat so I can understand what your saying. It's more of a habit wearing flip flops. But fyi this channel is only for sending links out to my customers so they can get a visual update. Shoes are overrated anyway! Thanks for commenting though

Hire a professional to winterize your boat
Yes water. When water freezes it expands by 7% no where to go it cracks the block (and manifold) then when thawed that water leaks through the cracks into the crankcase

Mine will not pump water, I'm getting frustrated af, everything in the cooling system is brand new
If you replaced the impeller already and still not pumping I'd say you need to drop that lower again and see what you did wrong. (Either that or you have a clog)
@Danco Marine Services I 100% did it right I double checked I think theirs a clog somewhere In the block I'm going to try and hook a hose up to the copper tube and attempt flushing it out.
