    • @WhiteRabbitInstituteofHealing
      @WhiteRabbitInstituteofHealing 10 дней назад

      How fun! Nothing like fresh mullein:) Drying is best done in a cool, dry place. Some like to use a drying rack so ventilation is good, others will gather the stalks together and hang upside down from the ceiling. It can take 1-3 days to dry depending on the moisture in the plant and environment you live in. The leaves especially need to be dried so they don't mold. Both the leaves and flowers can be used for smoking. It burns slowly with an nice earthy aroma. It is a gentle herb, calming and soothing.

These are commonly recommended, even by the Western medical system, to support chemo and cancer recovery. Herbs like rosemary, astragalus, and sage can also help support lung health. • @WhiteRabbitInstituteofHealing
      @WhiteRabbitInstituteofHealing Месяц назад

      Great question! Piloblehis rigida, is native to Florida and the Bahamas. Commonly called Florida pennyroyal, it is a different plant than European pennyroyal (Mentha pulegium). Florida pennyroyal is an evergreen that looks like a little juniper bush but with soft green leaves and no berries or sharp needle-like leaves. The local Floridian Native American Peoples used it to make tea, the oil has insect repelling properties, and it was used in ceremonies to cleanse the home after someone had died. Interesting herb in its own right, but not the same pennyroyal....another example of the importance of botanical names to be sure what herb you are using!

    How many grams of licorice root do you mean when you say "half a cup"? It's been 2 weeks now since I've started taking 2 daily cups, using just 1 teaspoon of chipped (not powdered) licorice root for each cup. It's working great for my gastritis and stomach ulcer caused by excess intestinal gass pushing up to my stomach. I'm feeling great, not feeling any side effect up to now.

    • @WhiteRabbitInstituteofHealing

      @kritikator84 14 дней назад

      @@WhiteRabbitInstituteofHealing Then it's ok. 2 daily teaspoons of licorice may be no more than 4-5 g. It's been 2 months since I've started taking licorice, and not feeling any side effects yet, so I'm starting to think moderate amount may be even safe for long term use. I'm now combining licorice with boldo leaves in my infusions and it's giving even better results. It's practically like taking omeprazol. I may eventually give a try to ginger as well. Thanks.

    • @WhiteRabbitInstituteofHealing
      @WhiteRabbitInstituteofHealing 2 месяца назад

      Chinese skullcap (S. baicalensis) is an important herb in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) for treating what is called Damp Heat, especially in the Small Intestines and fighting a wide range of viral infections. Its wide applications, include calming anxiety particularly when associated with Dampness and Heat. Heat can be agitating and increase anxiety, anger, and restlessness. American skullcap (S. lateriflora) is a gentler herb and often favored for treating nervous anxiety, especially when associated with fear, as well as aiding sleep. Chinese skullcap is often added to Liver cleansing treatments to help Move Qi and in this way further support the reduction of anxiety. Both are effective for treating anxiety, with a key difference being Chinese skullcaps focus on treating Damp Heat associated conditions and American skullcap being a gentler herb often used in herbal formulas to promote sleep and soothe nerves.

    How to consume dan shen for kidney

    • @WhiteRabbitInstituteofHealing
      @WhiteRabbitInstituteofHealing 3 месяца назад

      This is an interesting question. Let's touch on two key aspects it implies. 1. What exactly are you wanting to use it for per your kidneys? There are many kidney conditions suggesting a wide variety of applications and formulas you might consider using. 2. What is the condition of your whole system? In TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine), we especially do not treat any system in isolation from the whole. Your kidney health is not separate from your digestive or heart, or liver health for example. Condonopsis makes a wonderful tea, and wonderfully you can add it to soups, stews, and other recipes! It is best known for Regulating Blood, Tonifying Qi, and Removing Blood Stagnation. See your health care provider to be sure about the herbs you are choosing and why. Visit our website and download my free guide for How to Choose the Right Herb for you:). Poor digestion, IBS, nausea, bloating, stomach aches, constipation, and the list goes on and on....the key is being clear about a TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) diagnosis, as other factors may be at play. Such as Heat or Cold. Consult your healthcare provider for further insights:)
