We have made a tutorial about the TEXT Tool for the new version, you can follow it from there if you wish. While showing the text sample, we changed the color with the eraser tool.

@@jerricaleonard2123 2 months late, but found out this happens due to the format of the drawing. Trying resaving the image as a BMP and see if it works from there, that solved it for me

I find it ironic that the people who complain about how a tutorial is made are always people who never bother to try and help others by creating tutorials, themselves. If they did, they wouldn't complain...because it is a thankless job. It's like giving a part of your holiday, such as Thanksgiving or Christmas, to serve the Homeless, away from your family, and then listening to complaints...rather than gratitude...that the Turkey or potatoes isn't quite hot enough or spicy enough. Or perhaps because you served pumpkin pie, when they preferred pecan pie. It would make you think twice before serving in that role, again. The moral here is that when stuff is GIVEN to you, FREE...stop complaining, and start thanking. The author did a good job on this tutorial, and I am grateful, personally. It is not his fault you have difficulty with maintaining the requisite amount of attention. TRAINING IS NOT ENTERTAINMENT.

A very meaningful and necessary question. First of all, thank you for this question. We have been waiting for this question for a long time and now it is happening. (that's good) After going through the process of asking these questions and more before we started this work, we decided that yes, this is an easy path in one sense and a difficult path in another sense. (Like philosophy...) One of the goals is to start from the bottom, from the basics and attract a wider audience. Do you think the Microsoft paint interface is very user-friendly and practical? It varies from person to person, but it is a popular drawing program with the simplest, plainest interface, coming from an almost retro past. But the capabilities of the program are far from the practical and efficient capabilities of the new generation of industry standard programs. There aren't even layers, canvas management, also a basic requirement, is handled more flexibly in MS 3D Paint, in short, it's a bit of a challenge. On the other hand, it inevitably comes embedded with software that is already available for all Windows users. For many users it may be a memory and a souvenir, for others it may still be very functional depending on what they do. There are a few more lessons and then we will move on to other software, which we will explain one by one when the time comes. First move the mouse cursor over the ruler. You can then rotate the ruler by turning the mouse wheel up or down.

Perhaps it has something to do with the version or type of Linux operating system you are using.

Not working for me, either. Are you using it on Mac?

@@juicyjuice8842 Sorry, some of the apps and software I use do not have stable versions on Mac, so my preference has mostly been for Windows Operating systems. As I mentioned in one of the answers above "I would recommend other equivalent alternative apps on our channel. We have tutorials for Crealesson and epic pen and IPEVO apps, it might help you to take a look, thanks."
