It was stuck on 666 likes, so I had to hit like quickly! LOL
Good video too!
Absolutely incredible man, Doc Watson. I love this song, 1st person I heard play it was my Dad. Different key, but same song. I played it at his funeral
Excellent. Thanks for sharing. Classic song and understated delivery 👌🏼
On the mt. Rushmore of Gods finest and baddest guitarists!! Merle and Doc Watson!! Awesome
It's SOOOOO EASY to love these three🌻💚🎶
Doc has a beautiful blues voice.
I've loved this music all my life. There's something special about I'll call it roots music. Little blues, little country. Little folk. This is too he original American music
How good is he
This is amazing. Who is playing bass?
Solomon Dorsey from Kansas City, Missouri.
It's f**ing " Troubeling mind" As In Suicide! Listen to the Effing lyrics. Is society so soft that we have to soften the meaning of classic folk songs?
Those poor squirrels don't stand a chance!
How I would have loved to have met this man. It is said that my dad picked some music with him in Lenour, N.C.
this is absolutely perfect. thank you for posting.
What a wonderful talent, great guitar player with a great voice thank the universe for Doc Watson!
Amen
The Late, Great Doc.
MAN that vocal phrasing! It's amazing how he plays in time yet sings all over and around the beat as if he did one then overdubbed the other. He is Doc Watson though.
Doc was a flat picker's picker. I got to see him a couple of times and was amazed by his talent. He did not play a lot of "fancy" things, but he did play straight on country music damn perfectly. He will live on in our hearts for a long time.
"He will live on in our hearts for a long time." Hear, hear!
Beautiful share my friend! Fantastic guitar playing, wonderful song. Like #291! Have a nice weekend to you!
Doc just casually runs those base licks that punctuate the music. Man, he was beyond great!
Not sorry to say this but Lightnin Sam Hopkins had Watson beat 1000000000 to 0 on this song. Watson again thinkin' he could sing.Blind ol' peckerwood should have stayed home that day and forever.
Opinions are like arse holes….
Half-wit
@@shmizwald ... yeah, everyone has one.
We get it...you hate Whitey.
Just listened to the Hopkins version and he isn't in the same league as Watson who could outplay him with one hand tied behind his back...on the vocals...that is all debatable. To even say that a blind man doesn't know about the blues tells more about you than him. When Whitey gets enough of the 6 1/2 % of the general population (Black males in America) doesn't amount to much in terms of a threat...but to hear the noise that they make, one would think they are 99% of the population...quit whining and make YOUR life better racist.
somebody should have thrown away Watson's guitar and put him in sanitarium for the blind.
Treasure
great bass player
Bass player is also madi, her Guitar is tuned waay down
Thanks! Wanted to go but couldn’t make it. Sounds like a good size crowd?
Thank you for posting this!
RIP Doc and Richard Watson.
Damn that boy can pick.
👍
Frankly, the other guitarist ruined the song.
Delete your ignorant comment, sir!
That's his grandson Richard. They are both dead now. Leave them alone and go practice your picking.
Terrible audio. I miss Doc anyway...

Man both of these men could make you want to throw your guitar away, either one of them could make a better sound that I can get by throwing a guitar down the stairs than I can get on my best day. RIP peace Doc, from the first time I heard you til today you have given me so much pleasure I cannot truly express it, if I could I would write a song about it.
Song starts at 1:17
?

A family of love
Thanks for the share. Doc. What a Treasure.
Lyrics?
This is some head bopping, toe tapping, knee slapping music . Thanks for posting.
All the respect to Jack for filling in for Merle as he promised Merle he would.
This may be the greatest thing I've seen in a long time...and in my hometown!
Thanks for the upload, I was there and intended on taking some video for the youtube crowd, unfortunately, I didn't charge my battery on my phone.... so thanks....
Thank you kindly for preserving and posting vids from this show. :)
Not bad for a lil ol hillbilly!
from 0:00 - 1:10 is a song called Big Sciota"! awesome video
I was at this show. I drove all the way down from near Pittsburgh, Pa for this concert. One of the greatest days and shows i've ever seen. The lady was from the audience and she was from Fancy Gap, Virginia i think and i guess they couldn't remember her name so they just kept calling her Fancy Gap. It was pretty funny actually. Can't wait i'm going to see Old Crow here in Pittsburgh next month. One of my favorite bands of all time.
That was a great show! Wow is all I can say.
The gentleman is a self-taught buck dancer who came down from Boone, NC and I believe the lady joined him from the audience.
