Long day. 5am start. Up to Roger the seat in Essex. Dropped him my driver seat and picked this one up…. Very pleased with it, I wanted it to still look Old. He re-stitched it through the original holes reinforced inside with new leather and new padding.  #automobile #classiccars #alvis #uk #trimming #leatherrestoration

The car was delivered back so I hadn’t seen the job until today, but I’m very pleased. In other news, I’m picking up the passenger seat from the leather restorer so will be dropping the drivers seat off. Thanks for watching. 🙏

Finally got the Arrow headers fitted. Forgot to mention we did all three brake discs as well. Apart from changing the oils, the bikes now ready to go to Europe in July. #yamahaS10 #motorcycle #adventure

1:52 - “you’d never know it’d been sorted” - for me, that equals a perfect job. Credit to whoever did the work, they kept the age and feel of the leather, mending it sensitively without turfing all that original leather and replacing it with a brand new hide. Looking lovely 👍👌

What colour was the car originally?
Original Black over grey with Blue leather. At the moment it’s Jaguar Solent blue over silver with red leather. I’m thinking of painting it all silver… but not sure.

20 or something years ago i owned a Fiat Uno. It took me 3 years owning that car to find a enormous ashtray in the middle of the dashboard.😂

I'm actually planning a road trip of about 1300 miles to pick up a nice used Super Tenere and wanted to say thank you for providing some of the info I used to make the decision.
That’s great. You won’t regret it. It’s an under the radar choice but a fantastic bike. They’ll be an update on mine coming soon ( probably a couple of weeks ) 🙏
Your front bumper looks like my rear one. I'm tossing up whether to weld & chrome my one or trying to source a better one. They're scarce.
I actually have spare bumpers. The front is going to be re chromed and then it will go on the car. This one will likely be welded and left as a spare. I’ve got a rear as well but I’m happy with what’s on the car for now. Thanks for watching 👍

I am too. Was in the Special forces system couple of nights ago. I’ve never needed to use the blanket as extra warmth.. but it gets used on its own in the summer. Thanks for the comment 👍

I realize I’m a little too late for the game but I have to say that having had 3 of them (because stupidity made me want, first the ES and then a GSA) it’s MY bike! Had dozens of bikes in many years of riding and the Supertenere is surely a keeper. Mine is also the standard which is in fact my choice. The most reliable bike in the world. Love mine
I love mine. I bought a blue one a year after this vid. It’s now got full Givi luggage and crash bars. It’s getting Arrow headers soon… but will stay stock apart from that.
@@gastramp I’m very glad to now that. I’ve got a 2019 but in 60th years colors (yellow). The last owner got it painted in Yamaha (good for me!). Mine got the heed (From Poland) crash bars I bought to replace the Oem it came with, and also a full set of GIVI luggage (a Dolomiti top case and the Alaska side cases). I also installed a ZUMO XT with the Touratech lockable mount, the headlight protector (that I bought on Motea website - similar to the Yamaha one), a (trusty old) quad lock mount for my iPhone, the wind deflectors and nothing more. I also like to keep it as simple and original as possible. Enjoy yours and keep safe.

Yeah it takes some time, i just done it for the first time. Hoewever the built quality is superb. De bolts have pointy ends to easely find the thread. They're stainless steel. And all of them are relatively easy to reach. I managed to complete the job with dollarstore tools

Appreciate you doing coverage of the bike. Super Tenere content is sorely lacking for this bike. It's a sad trippy experience to watch stuff from this timeframe and the silly hysteria about the "event' of the time.
