I've mentioned on your other post. I have one of these in UK that was imported from Japan and I've loved it for over 20 years. It makes you feel special cuz it's different. It's an unsung hero for GTO. Got all the press but the FTO is actually a more reliable daily car and the sound is infectious. They were ahead of that time. It learns the way you drive , that's why you say fuel because if you drive a certain way it just seeing accelerator and revs. No German car did that at the time it has its own mivec control it was way ahead of its time.

Import in since 2001 and it's my baby, What did the same thing as you? I expect what I wanted from Japan. One has a sunroof and traction control which is rare. I love it. Don't write off the automatic tiptronic. Gearbox it's a thing of wonder so far ahead of its time. It was designed by Porsche and Mitsubishi made it better. It's great! Fun to drive when you switch it over to manual change ,open up. Your air intake put a decent manifold and exhaust on it and it and it helps. It breathe better and you'll get more horsepower. There are tuners out there for it as well but try and keep it is pure V6 wonder the chassis is actually based on a Evo 6 so that says for the handling and the looks Looks like different and unique. That's why I bought one in the first place. Stand out from everybody else. And when you get to mivec range it sounds amazing. Like VTec on steroids

This is pretty light as far as a tutorial goes. Run the engine first for a while to get the oil hot and circulating. I then take the opportunity to degrease the back. They drain. Make sure to fill the filter before you attach it to the sandwich plate. Also rub a bit of oil on the filter gasket. I am a Mobil1 fan. 0w40 + M1-209.

Two years later and I just recently won a really clean silver '95 GPX through an auction and it'll be on its way overseas soon, also costing about 13k total! Thanks for stoking that fire in me to stick to it and finally get one man, joinin' the FTO club in the US soon. :)

As I watch several of these videos on changing the oil. it looks like the angle of the pan drain is uphill leaving a fair amount of old oil in the car. would you suggest lifting the front as well to ensure getting all the oil out of the pan?
