I’m not sure how water got in one of your smoke alarms but that’s obviously a big problem because water and electricity does not end well. I’m surprised that didn’t start a fire.

How heavy is it?

I installed a new HVAC slot system this summer and the Honeywell T10 thermostat is set for either heat or cool. Old one used to have the auto changeover option which I used in the spring and fall. I asked the HVAC contractor about this and he said it’s not recommended to use auto changeover as it can damage the heat pump. I don’t see how manually changing from cool to heat would be any difference. Bottom line is that I need heat in the mornings and evening and cooling during the day.

I saw this one on Amazon for $269.99 need it for sure my 2tb ssd ain’t enough might sell it on eBay for $100 or so

Also, you’re tightening it with a metal wrench. Do you really think that’s ANY different than grabbing the terminal with your hand to put it on?! 🤣 IF it was gonna shock you it would’ve 💥 through the wrench…but it will NOT!! The only ‘danger’ would be laying a metal wrench across + terminal directly to - terminal, even then it would just arch unless you panicked and never moved it and then the battery ‘can’ explode👌🏼 There’s no other danger whatsoever…

Why in the WORLD are you afraid to touch the battery terminals?! 🤣 You do NOT need gloves to change that battery, it can’t shock you!! lol Just remove the negative first when coming out and replace the positive first when going in 🤦🏻‍♂️ The actual hybrid battery under the rear seat is a different story, but the engine battery is easy peasy. You can hold a hand on each terminal running or not and it won’t do anything at ALL! haha I’m not being rude, but if you’re that clueless in auto mechanics you need not teach others 🤦🏻‍♂️

Yes, rubber guard is only to protect the electric cables (locate it only on the right side) from being cut by the metal and of the arms which is a problem only prior to assembling the handle. The handle conceals the cables end the sharp edges of the arms.
