a recommended book is antonia fraser,, six wives of henry VIII,, the complex ancestry and that all 6 wives were his cousins, even anna of klaavs.. his queens are related to Henry II, Henry III, Edward I ,II and III, prince john of gaunt * ghent, some maternally and paternally on multiple lines...
Off the topic but why was she wearing red when her brother was execution only 2 days days before her
you can also link lady magaret pole... with ireland.. george duke of clarence godfather was James FitzGerald, 6th Earl of Desmond (d. 1462), 'the Usurper', was a younger son of Gerald FitzGerald, 3rd Earl of Desmond, and Lady Eleanor, daughter of James Butler, 2nd Earl of Ormond. a very prominent yorkist for generations, in ireland.. the anglo and cambro normans, had struggled to rule IRELAND.. the butlers were mostly lancastrians, the fitzgeralds were prominent yorkists.. others like the O briens, macarthy swapped sides or manipulated the situation, to undermine royal control or the crown lands in ireland.. lambert simnel was crowned as king of ireland, the irish nobility for the most part, were descedants of princes and kings of the high kings brian boru... also marriages were common as were mini feuds between the fitzgeralds, butlers , o briens the butlers of ormond, are the ancestors of queen ann boleyn and elizabeth I...
also some backstory.. the nevilles of raby castle and their relatives, the nevilles of warwick castle.. warwick the 16th earl 6th Earl of Salisbury 8th and 5th Baron Montagu 7th Baron Monthermer Welsh Marcher Lord of the Glamorgan...where he acted more like a DUKE or Prince * de facto king,,, also the alligned families, of montague, de clare, de spencer, beauchamp, holland, chaworth and fitzalan families... ancestral links with warwick the kingmaker, his ancestors were Ulric Manfred II ( Olderico Manfredi II; 975 - 1034) or Manfred Ulric (Manfredo Udalrico) was the count of Turin and marquis of Susa in the early 11th century. He was the last male margrave from the Arduinid dynasty. Ulric Manfred's daughter, Adelaide, inherited the majority of his property. Through marriage to Adelaide (c. 1045), Otto of Savoy, a younger son of Count Humbert I of Savoy became margrave of Turin. Their descendants would later comprise the House of Savoy who ruled Sardinia and Italy. Manfred I of Saluzzo,, the first marquess died 1175 ,,,, also the moritimers, the de clares, and the greatest ever knight william marshal...regent of engaldnd, appear in the ancestry of warwick the kingmaker and countess magaret pole cardiff , caerphilly...Middleham Castles 2 great books to review and check out are nathen amin...the house of beaufourt, the bastard line that captured the throne... duchess cecily nee neville of york , matriach of YORK, mother was Countess Joan nee beaufourt neville of westmorland... joan was a cousin to Queen consort & regent of scotland...Joan nee beaufourt stewart of scots, scotland and Countess magaret beaufourt of richmond and derby...., big suprise there were : countess magaret beaufourt 4 or more... one was the ancestress to the dukes of buckingham.. the other book is the RED PRINCE, prince john of ghent, gaunt by helen carr,.. the celebrity magnate , grandson of edward II, son of edward III and ancestor to the tudors, lancaster, portugal, burgundy, the beaufourts and alligned with via ancestry and family to much of northern european nobility & royal houses aviz in portugal, stewart in scotland,... as duke of aquitaine and many many other titles.., with lands in england, wales, ireland, jersey, france, burgundy, flanders, spain and a descendants chart 3 miles long, that would include queen isabella of castille the warrior of spanish history, and her daughter queen catherine of aragon consort of england... so henry VII and his son Henry VII were cousins to the spanish royal family... queen philipa of lancaster and portugal, princess of portugal & duchess of burgundy isabella of aviz duke charles the bold of burgundy king edward, eduarte of portgal and the illistrious generation queen philipa of denmark duchess mary of burgundy and the later habsburgs : holy roman emperor charles V and his son King philip of spain and king consort of england queen mary of france, duchess of suffolk duchess magaret of york and burgundy queen mary tudor, queen regnant of england, queen consort of spain the house of beaufourt, the most scandalous illegitmate one in northern europe, did not do too bad in descendants, as the family was legitimized by a parliment, pope and king,... the tudors or ap tewdars were called , bastards and scandalous but this maybe yorkist propaganda... nobodies of low birth or unkowns,, nathen amin the historian,,, has HENRY VII son of prophecy book : debunks some of the greatest myths in english and british, european history, that the tudors were viewed as commoners or of low birth, but descedants of welsh princes and kings, who were alligned with the house of lancaster against york... for generations.. not just a unkown , foreign or mysterious servant to queen catherine valois... their ancestry dates before: william the conqueror, queen emma consort of normandy and even rollo duke of normandy,,, the ancestors most english nobilty like the howards the earls marshall , the percys, nevilles, holland, montague, beauchamp have as ancestors... william was related to king edward the conffessor via queen emma of normandie.. the tudors, like william the conqueror,. also claimed the right of conquest.... ofc harold godwinson and his family thought otherwise, but the godwinsons were orginally earls or jarls under king knud, canute the great, king of england and emperor of northern empire..., the tudors also had ancestry to rex britonum, as emperors of all of britain... the legendary kings long before the norman conquest... also via queen mother dowager catherine of valois, princess of france, daughter to the mad king charles VI and queen consort Isbeau wittelsbach of bavaria... the earlier argmnac v burgundian civil war , was a precusor to the war of the roses, cousins as both king charles VI and his grandson henry VI of lancaster went mad and a regency was required, but as more than half the court were cousins, no one could agree on the regent, no great suprise that dejavu in french and english history, is like copy and paste... the tudors jasper and edmund also have a ancestral link to germany, italy , not just half brothers to King Henry VI of lancaster etc it may come as a suprise, or even a shock, but the house of york, the yorkist also were desendants of Prince LLewellyn the great, rex britonum via the house of mortimer... ann mortimer of ludlow castle... the ancestress of yorkists so the house of york, had support in areas of wales,,, it was not just a tudor stronghold... the herbet dynasty of pembroke, monmouthshire, the vaughans of tretower court sir daffydd ap mathew viscount of llandaff court celebrity at battle of towton,,, were all welsh and prominent yorkists.. checkout :kingmakers the welsh marches book this details the beaufourts, lancaster, yorkist, and alligned families and lands, it would be true to say, that the war of the roses had like in ireland, its very own mini war, feuds between gentry, aristocracy, on all sides of the war of the roses and even between the beaufourts... a cardinal henry beaufourt, even had a illegitmate daughter, associated with st donats castle... as Lady of ST donats .. find out more @ LITTLE KNOWLEDGE PODCAST
adam is the most handsome historian in uk, but history with jackson def comes in second...
What is this song called
The sword is fake the Anne Boleyn girl is not died
Anne ich denk an dich morgen gehst du zum Schafott. RIP Anne ❤
Ummm no. Back then you did what your king told you. Henry pursued Anne. Yes, she played into it(especially with the yellow dress) but no, she was not a home wrecker.
This was the point I’ve tried to demonstrate in the video. I find it’s a lot easier to put all the blame onto Anne without looking at the facts
I'm a fan
Henry the wife killer
People are sick!!!
Thank you so much for having me. I had a blast talking with you!
How amazing to be less than 5 minutes in and hear my idol, Owen, recount that he did "appallingly" and failed at A-Level because he feels he 'rebelled' against historical opinions he didn't want to accept on their own (to just take at face value from a teacher)... and look at him now!! What a fantastic thing for people to remember as they trudge through the education system <3 reminds us all to keep questioning and keep researching, because history is NEVER black and white!
It truly does! He is an inspiration to all!
Home-wrecker
I saw the show back in May last year. It was amazing!
Henry...serial killer...
Natalie Dormer was hands down the best Anne Boleyn portrayal she was amazing ❤️
ugh HATE the jodie turner-smith one, why are the drop-down pearls ugly little squashed golden things? like we know they are pearls!!!
I don't care about her is evil anne Boleyn is evil l don't care l like howard
Being portrayed by a black actress is a real downfall.
Henry was Evil, the fact that he blamed the miscarriage on her but it was cuz she had saw him and the 3rd wife together smh
It can be tough sometimes.
Wish he was KING now!
I hate Henry VIII
He was a murderous man child. Or at least that is what he was after his accident. I feel bad for all his wives except Anne of Cleeves who got away from him with a fortune not to mention her life 🙏
very entertaining!
Thank you!
Very cool 🎉
Thank you!
And.months after her daughter did the same thing executed her cousin making her son an orphan
It wasn’t months after… her daughter, Elizabeth, was still a little girl when her mother was executed. You’re talking decades down the line.
her daughter was 3 when anne died..be get educated
Months after? Girl when Anne was executed Elizabeth wasn't even 3 year old yet.

She deserves
Just had poor taste in men
She is very beautyfull
Poor Anne. Didn't have much sympathy for the great men her Henry slaughtered in horrific ways for her, did she?
True
And what did Anne expect ?? The only role I'n his life is bearing him a son, if she was aware of the ongoing curse going on in that family, she would be wise enough to not waste time seducing Henry by acting like she's got a mysterious intriguing personality or something, all that efforts just to get beheaded by him 😂🤷♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️, Anne was nothing special to Henry she was just like all the other wives to him. And he proved it by beheading her and framing her of adultry.
@@likhithakommuri1472 In short, what goes around, comes around and she had it coming.
@@likhithakommuri1472 I guess she was sure to give him a son. Huge mistake!
I understand you're defending the real-life Anne, but the Anne of the Tudors is DESPICABLE.
There are many people who say the opposite, that the real-life Anne was the evil one and not the one in the series. Could you explain to me why the Anne of the series seems worse to you? Sorry, I can't watch the whole series as it is not broadcast in many non-English speaking countries, I know she hates and makes fun of Catherine, but what else?
@@Zairajazeshe was awful to mary tudor, called her a bastard and tried to make her life miserable. i'm a big fan of the real anne boleyn, i can understand her actions but i won't justify her
Just deplorable.
@@Zairajazeshe plotted to have Mary poisoned, she celebrated Catherine's death as though Catherine wronged her, when Anne stole her husband. She treated those closest to the crown like crap, although her father warned her, she never took heed. Turned her back and abandoned her only sister, whilst she was pregnant. Also unbearable to live with.
@@milip9629 lolol what?! The real life Anne disliked Princess Mary just as much as the one in the show. Anne even famously said "She is my death and I am hers." T
Natalie Dormer IS Anne Boleyn
I agree with you. Natalie Dormer makes the best Anne Boleyn in my opinion. ❤
What...
So very ahistorical.
Мая лубовниг гди я жнилс ито филим вот ито пахож ана лубит я лублу гди ви 📢👰♂️❤💐💐💐💐🤵♂️
The way the crowds teases and touched her rudely make me slap them 😡
They were respectful in real life
Well, she was the King's strumpet.
Natalie Dormer is stunning ❤
Love her🩷🩷🩷 she didn’t deserve that at all
Deserve
I don't think any of his wives deserved their fate.
@@unholytudor she's the reason why Henry VIII divorced Catherine of Aragon.... That's what we called "KARMA"
@@RayaG The reason why Henry VIII divorced Catherine of Aragon is because he wanted a son. If you look at the records, Henry was looking for a way out of his marriage to Catherine as early as 1522
@@unholytudor and Anne take the opportunity 🤣🤣🤣..
@@RayaGur just stupid. Do your research
💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔
Home-wrecker. What did she expect?
The same can be said of Jane then.
@@helend7542 To be fair it didn’t turn out very well for Jane either
A slap on your face😂
@anonymous 112 He strayed but he NEVER gave up his marriage for anyone else, until Anne Boleyn came along. So, yes, I blame Anne.
I don't think any of his wives deserved what they got, Anne did not want to be used just for her body and I think that deserves to be respected, and Catherine didn't deserve the treatment that Henry gave her either
What a beauty
