The Beta Gamma Chaptger of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated Spring 2023 Initiates Introduced themselves to the campus of Virginia State University in Historic Daniel Gymnasium.

Elizabeth City edged Virginia State in a close game in NC. The game featured Nate Higgs and Shawn Walker of ECSU vs. Kevin Holleman, Todd Peay, and Gerald Britt of VSU. ECSU also had 2, 7 footers on the front line.

Virginia State beat St Augustine and #1 Seed Johnson C. Smith to advance to the Semifinals only to face a ready and stacked Norfolk State team with Corey Williams, Derek Bryant, Marcus Whitfield, Marvin Stinson and Cornell Penn. They made the Semi-final the last game of my career but I wouldn't trade my 4 years for the world. Love my VSU

ON April 8, 1995 12 new brothers of the Beta Gamma Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha were introduce to the campus of Virginia State University.

The Trojans entered the 49th Annual CIAA Tournament Just Defeating Shaw the week prior to. Shaw was not trying to to have that happen again. Leading most of the game it would take a last second comeback for the Trojans to win it.

The Trojans took on the St Pauls Tigers at home. It was an exciting game that almost ended up in a brawl at the end.

The Trojans got on the road late to Salisbury because of Ice and player car wrecks (mine being one of them). But eventually pulled off the victory. There was some technical difficulty at the end but we won.

Hampton came in at 13-2 ranked #13 in the country. VSU needed the crowd in Daniel Gym along with those WOO WOOs to pull off the upset!!! great game

Matoaca traveled to Colonial Heights to take on big running back Ronnie Erb and former Matoaca native and QB Chris Pond. The game went down to the wire before QB Travis Atkins found WR Billy Rudolph in the corner for a touchdown.

Matoaca traveled to Sussex to take on the Tigers in a non conference battle. The Warriors cruised to a victory but the young Tigers also made it to the state tourney that year in Group A. They played one of the toughest schedules in Group A in our area which prepared them.

A great husband, father, in law and friend!!!
