VAW - Voskovec a Werich (1931)
CZ #44 - No matter how inactive I may seem with logos individually, the show must goes on.
What you're seeing here is a logo of a Czechoslovak film company that doesn't have the "-film" suffix in a title; alternatively, it was also called "V&W a spol.". The company was shortlived - its establishment occurred in March 1931, but was terminated the following year.
VAW was known to have released only one film, "Pudr a benzín" (Powder and Gas), from which I took this. Because it's the NFA print, there is no logo in the beginning, but a visualized credit can be spotted in the end. Now, I like this ident: although you can't really tell what's shown in a clockwise-rotating sculpture, but I suppose ...

So, if the last episode turned out longer, time for a shorter one! Requested by @ILEnthusiast As a follow-up to the "Kingdom of Egypt" part, this one will continue exploring Egyptian studios idents after the abolishment of the country's monarchy. During the first five years of republican Egypt, there aren't as many logos as I imagined; hence this episode didn't take me long to finish. I know it...

Time for a random video. Out of surprise, I found a film source which has logos of one of the known casual HK production companies, and a Taiwanese film company at the beginning (even though it has nothing to do with the film). Yeah I know, the source is cropped on the right (you can tell by the Grand March logo); I am aware that high-quality sources exist, but I had trouble extracting the latt...

The first footage you see is in colour as before; this time, quality here is sharper. You can now experience a much cleaner view of the rotating camera. Sorry if it's a bit murky, but at least quality is the only thing that matters. :) The second footage is in black-and-wh...

I'm not officially into Malaysian logos yet, but this is what I've wanted to share with you. I found this out of the blue while I was browsing for Indonesian studios idents. I ran into some channel online which stored 16mm prints of mainly Indonesian and occasionally Malaysian films; out of interest I inspected all the digitized 16mm content it had, and later I stumbled upon this logo. CN/HK #81 - Since two variants of this logo are available to this day, I decided to combine them together. Watching this, I'm thinking of... probably an introduction to a superior kung-fu-themed film? But if to be serious, this ident is amazing, and at the same time, it can cause a suspenseful feeling, like something rapid is bound to happen. TRIVIA: the probable fanfare/piece of music that is ...

CN/HK #80 - Interesting how the company operated with this logo for a few years (precisely from 1979 to 1980), yet only one film has it. Almost all films made by Shin Shin during that period were put for TV broadcasts, and strangely, the airing prints had this cut off. Is it really one of the rarest HK logos that can be found thanks to the television channels? From "阿Sir劈砲" (The Struggle).

MD #3 - Yet another rarity I discovered from Moldova... This time, yes, it's from the animation studio. This logo is extremely rare: no original prints of the cartoon were available to contain it, but a few years ago, a 35mm copy was found with the logo intact. I know it's spliced at the beginning, but this is the only footage that exists today. From "Будильники" (Alarm Clocks).

UZ #10 - Same studio, but different logo. I don't mind if it's silent because I reckon it's not this long, unlike the previous logo I shared. Sorry if the footage is short, as that's what the original source has. The original video was shrunk, so I stretched to make it in 4:3 format; also, I blurred the watermark below, so there you go. UZ #9 - This incredibly rare Soviet logo was an unexpected find for me. Unlike the remarkable Ukrainian logos I’ve previously uncovered, this one stands out for two reasons: it's from the Uzbek SSR, and it dates back to 1988. At that time, there weren’t many Soviet independent studios operating, especially in the 1980s. (When I say "independent studios," I’m referring to those that weren’t as l...

Well, considering that this is a 1931 logo, I guess they were getting creative with logos...
Production idents were always secondary to the film making process. Not every company is required to add a logo to a movie, specially if it's a newly-founded studio on their very first release.

To be honest, I don't like what's happening there either, but I'd prefer not to talk about politics here... I'm just collecting logos without intention to touch anything sensitive.
福華電影有限公司
Sometimes I don't like to find logos that are cropped, but thank you for showing the full company's title.
I don’t get it. Couldn’t they have just used VHS instead?* *No offense.
For your information, these are in 16mm. I tried finding a normal source of this, but there was none available except this print. I mean, there MIGHT be a VHS release of a film, but for now, we don't know whether it exists for sure.
BUM motion picture company hahaha that's the silliest logo I've ever heard of hahaha XD
I think "bum" is also a Korean word, but rather than that, yeah, it sounds funny and seems a little silly. :)
This has always caught my attention back when Cruiseshipz has introduced me in his Logos From Around the World and loved that jingle and the film filters back in the day. Nice of you to use two logos in one.😊
I know, and that's why I combined two variations of this logo. Considering that they're rare and can be found nowhere else but one film and one trailer (where the company credited their distribution rights, NOT production ones), I think it's important to keep the necessity of preserving finds like these. :) P. S. the jingle you hear is probably a part of arrangements composed by a Japanese composer Akira Komachi (see the description for more information and attempts to find out the actual title of this piece of music).
Uhh idk couldn’t they’ve just used VHS instead?
Agrofilm is seemingly an agriculture-themed documentary film distribution company, so I doubt they would use video equipment then.
This logo looks like it was made in 2012.
To be fair, I can't really agree on that, but I'm fine with your opinion :) For me it looks rather from the 1960's or something.
The Animation Was So Smooth Also, It's Nice To See Another Logo From Moldova!
Another logo that Used Opening fanfare by Eddy Warner
Believe me, many HK logos used this piece of music. This can be said with more of stock soundtrack, such as the infamous "Contact" by Johnny Pearson, "Prestige Logo" by Paddy Kingsland, etc.
the indonesian logos from the jadul era have always fascinated me. like their cel/practical effect animation and either a fanfare or a synth score is just... mwah.
Yeah I can notice how they already tampered with CEL animation during mid-1970's... I say all of these Indonesian logos are cool! :) As for music, I can agree with you on that, but unfortunately, since RUclips's copyright policy is strong over music, some audio parts had to be muted to avoid more claims. :( This is why I'm writing subtitles in such videos to let you know what you hear in case if I HAVE to remove some portion of music.

19:06 little question, but do you know where this exact piece of music comes from?
This piece of music is stock for sure. I searched for the title using Google Audio Search, but I couldn't get an exact match for this fanfare. If my mind doesn't deceive me, it's composed by "King Orchestra".
Just found a track that sounds similar to the audio here. I found it on RUclips Music page, but the year of its composition is doubtful to me. Anyway, here's the link: music.ruclips.net/video/sAt94AOZiIA/видео.html
As I carefully read the description, the composer of the track is Akira Komachi (小町昭), a Japanese composer born in 1931. I believe this track must be part of one of Akira's soundtrack arrangements. For now, all I know that this is called "Fanfare B", so the probable answer is "Akira Komachi - Fanfare B".
0:27 may i ask what film is this logo from?
If I remember correctly, it's from "Мы из будущего 2/We Are From The Future 2" (2010). In some films this logo may be cut out, but if you want to know the studio's filmography, here's the link: www.kinopoisk.ru/lists/m_act[studio]/29747/
My reply was removed (I guess YT considers website links a no-no to include in the comments)... Originally I said that... if I remember correctly, it's from "Мы из будущего 2/We Are From The Future 2" (2010). @@cattotld You're welcome!
I had this happen many times with a lot with commenters telling me that I forgot this, I forgot that, and where’s this, when it comes to uploading LFATW compilations. Good to see you’re acknowledging the same mistake with these finds. I guess it happens when our research isn’t always done.
Totally agree with you here. I did point out that the videos involving logo compilation shouldn't look too perfect because you don't always know whether the logos you compiled seem to be ALL the logos from a certain country. Since more and more obscure/rare films are being published today, it's more likely you realize that more idents actually exist, regardless of whether they are from films, video films or home video media. I'm sorry to hear that you oftentimes get told about idents you forgot to include after publishing each episode of your series. I also would, of course, not pay attention to remarks about forgotten logos, but in my opinion, it would look a bit neglectful if I were not to point out what I could have missed... on the other side, mentioning missing logos seems fun as you still discover something new from the... "logotype industry", let's say (or maybe logo variations that you haven't even known about). But if you're more inclined to leaving your episodes as they are, that's fine! :) After all, the main key is to show logos from a country without worrying about the actual number because you can still find new idents later. By the way, I've heard that you plan to start the African season of LFATW, and all I can say is, I wish you good luck! Because some African countries don't have many logos, it may be a twist for you. I do have a few African logos on my channel, so if you want, you are more than welcome to use them for you future episodes!
@@catchthatlogo Absolutely. I feel that the people that point out the forgotten logos just take my compilations WAY too seriously, and that’s one of the main reasons I stopped making them for a while. As I’m giving it another chance with African logos, I am aware that the logo finds are very scarce. After all, it’s about finding the best you can share instead of meeting your audiences’ expectations. And yes, I’ll be glad to use what you got for a future compilation. I appreciate your advice. Thanks! :)
@@OfficialCruiseshipzStudios I'm glad to hear this! :)
@catchthatlogo can you do an argentine logo history and japanese logo history then more captures?
@@TheTupiZoneSecrets I'd recommend discussing this question in some other video :)
I think "Entertainment in Video Video Movies" was entirely forgotten as well. It's some logo that has like 3 British video distributors they blatantly used sources from, and it's from 1983.
Yeah, I saw it on AVID Wiki; due to the logo's blatancy, though, I decided not to include it. I also heard it uses audio from the Guild Home Video ident, which makes the thing full of stolen content...
