My humble opinion on these great heavy weight contenders in the 'hard use' folding knife category. The quality of the fit and finish of these knives is very good, but a few design short falls need to be addressed in order for them to reach their full potential. Extrema Ratio tactical folding knives, MF2 MF3 penetrating fighting style, and MPC heavy use folder with 1/4" lock back design. The MPC is pocket friendly, but heavy.....MF2 MF3 ate purpose build, but difficult to deploy quickly from the pocket due to their frame design.

The citizen Eco Drive watch is so cool. The original rubber strap can be replaced, and the 24mm lug adapter can be used to match the 24mm metal strap, which is more comfortable and beautiful to wear.🤣

I always find this 5 years after this video was uploaded. Better late then never. That being said , I will stick with the frame rock. The Extrema Ratio knives for the most part are ugly. I do not mind the RAO II. Great review btw.
Fastforward to 2022... Benchmade Skirmish $600 if you can find them. Same with many of these knives. Wonderful collection!

I´ve come to the simple conclusion that ER knives are overpriced knives with development potential which should been ironed already prior releasing. Funky, modern designs with a good will and effort but not quite there. There just always seems to be some room for improvement in both the knives and sheaths. Great video!!!!
Dark Of Light I think the price of the RAO 2 makes sense. I've owned it (ended up selling it) and it is a very nice knife imo. It's just a massive axis lock drop point. it has a great blade geometry and steel and the aluminum + polymer spine feels very silky and well made. My hand ended up really liking the two finger grip, I have to disagree with the guy in the video. It is a pretty good rugged all arounder but of course, you could just be using a fixed blade. I really liked that it could be folded, It was fun to just throw it in my bag or car and know I have a bloody big knife with me. It is really not worth the money compared to a traditional fixed blade that does a similar role, but it's a very interesting folder that is certainly in line with the rest of the folder market's pricing atm considering what you get. For better or for worse ER does use very high quality materials and parts. The biggest downfall with the RAO is definitely not having the bottom hole threaded for the pin, and giving you a sheath that is just super beefy for no reason. I kinda wanna buy another one and just use the hell out of it.
The knife seems a tight fit in the sheath because you are trying to put it in the wrong way round. Put the other end in first and your troubles will be over.

How strong is the locking mechanism on these? Would you ever be concerned about it closing on you? Im considering the Extrema Ratio RAO because im not sure.

I wish someone would do a "true review" vs oh, look at this. I just bought 2 and man did they kill my bank lol. I hope I made a good choice vs sticking with a USA made knife. I wanted 1 lol that could do pretty much any and everything.

Great work of art, apart from 2 small observations. The second hand, like where is it? Its stupidly small with no lume on it. That to me seems like a big mistake. Also the spring bar holes in the lugs are too close to the end of the lugs. Apart from that I was impressed with it. Nice find.
Very cool looking watch. Maybe the coolest I have ever seen. That raised crystal looks like it would be easy to put a chip in it on the edge though. Wow close to 1 pound. That's a heavy duty watch all right. That watch would be a good match for a guy that's into lifting weights.

Very good looking, I think, but very unpractical as folders. If I had the money I would buy them just for the looks, but I would put them in a display case and carry something much more practical in my pocket.

A really good video that sums up the appeal of the Seiko SKX007. It gets some stick from some folk, just because it’s so popular. People mistake build quality for fit and finish. Yes, Seiko get things wrong, like their misaligned chapter rings, but overall, their solidity is up with Rolex.....as this guy alludes to.......if anyone has any doubts, just handle a Seiko SKX on a NATO alongside a Subbie on a NATO.
