Persistence - A Solo Navajo Nation Archery Elk Hunt 2024
Come along as we see just a glimpse of the first 4 days hunting on the Navajo Nation during September. I have tried many times to tag an Elk on Navajo land with very little success. My hope is this video gives you a view of what to expect and what it takes to pursue these amazing animals!

Great job man! Put in the work and it paid off...congrats!
Thanks! It was a great time, looking forward to 2025
I am looking at doing this next year in New Mexico.. any advice on areas and tag purchases?
Hey Isaac! A great place to start your tag research and units in New Mexico is using GoHunt, and also define some goals for your self once you decide on some units.
Putting fuel in Grants NM?
Congratulations man!...👍
Thanks! Was some good Hard work 🤙🏽
Hell yeah Nez . 🎉congratulations
Thanks brotha!
Wishing you good luck and great success this season!
Nice
Loved the video! new to the cous hunting but would love to give it a shot. If you don’t mind my asking, what general area were you hunting?
Hey! Thanks for watching! This was in the southern AZ parts, coues are very tough to spot, definitely gotta spend time behind the glass and hit the e-scouting way in advance, this will cut out some time spent searching for watering holes and roads, when the hunt does come be ready to hike your tail off 😁
Surprised no sheds
@@kylemartinson722 yeah! I didn’t see much
22 more days
nice video bud! your in the right area!
Thanks! Yeah I wish I had more time! But made due with what I had. Thanks for watching!

Brother if you are going to do archery tell your distance
Copy that! it was 20 yards, thanks for watching
Beautiful shooting thank you for mentioning the distance in yardage makes your video much more appreciated
Hey! No problem, Thanks for watching! 🙏🏼
Is that first shot loan pine
Hey! I’m not sure if your question? 😁
I mean like when you took that first shot were you in a place called lone Pine
@@swallyak5655 oh I see, no sir!

@@WildTines Awesome thanls alot buddy.
@@eugenws38 no problem! They got some awesome colors! 🤙🏽
Here in Tn. we rarely get shot ops to that distance. My old Jennings bow doesn't have the speed to maintain K.E. past 30yds. My 60 year old eyes dont either. Our biggest challenge is not our shooting. Its having once accessible hunting land turned into housing subdivisions that drive the deer farther out every year. Whats left is in the hands of people that charge larger hunting fees every year. Vehicle collisions, landscaping damage and disease transmission because of overpopulation doesn't inspire them to lower their rates. So, its good that you are reminding us to prepare, but our best chance for a good season its either lots of travel or deep pockets. Keep shooting.
Copy that! That is very unfortunate to hear, but I hear ya. To get the longer distance shots in I usually take a 30 minute drive to my National Forest to get some of these shots. Very nice and peaceful. As long as I get at least some 20 yard reps in at home as well it works out 🙏🏼 thanks for watching!
Keep it up brotha
Will do! 🙌🏼
Good for you king. Go get after it🙏🏼
Попал?
Yes! Was a bit right on the target but hard to show with just the one camera setup 👍🏼
Nice
Thanks! I’ve gone up just a bit since then!
Promo SM 😡
You love burning the environment? Wtf
Fighting wildfires and doing prescribed burns sir. True hard work 👍🏼
Oh, Now i get it.@@WildTines
@@GalacticLoss123 For sure man! These shorts don’t really give a lot of context but I do a lot of Wildland fire prevention education with Smokey bear, help do prescribe burns in wildfire threatened communities in the winters, and during summer months I help with fighting wildfires.
Fire dinner
Yezzir! Was bomb!
@@WildTines yessir I bet 💪🏽🔥
Ngl I want that little lizard lol
Right?! It’s a horned toad, very young, we found it while hiking, little fiesty but we released him safely. In my Navajo culture they are sacred 🙏🏼
@@WildTines that’s a toad?!?!? I would’ve guessed lizard all day
Sorry! It’s a horned lizard! Haha my bad
@@WildTines it’s all good bro I understand lol
Well if you don't hunt and fish then you ain't living
