Fawn Rescue with FPV drone - InEL IR-Cam

InEL IR-Cam: shop.inel.at/ The majority of fawns are set in the months of May/June. The first mowing takes place at the same time. In the first weeks alive they have no flight instinct. Instead they make themselves small to be almost invisible to their predators. Unfortunately, this does not work for the farmer with his mower. Up to 25000 fawns die due to mowing operation in Austria every year....

Love this so smart
Glad to hear
👍
This is super innovative for the open market and affordable too, i hope to buy one when i get the time and money and I hope you're very successful and get lots of attention. Market using popular youtubers channels so more people see your product because its one of a kind and sure to impress
Thank you for the kind words, we are very pleased. We still have a long journey ahead of us, which we would like to share with you.
what if i want to use USB c thermal camera?
Unfortunately this is not compatible
thats pretty epic
Thank you :)
Well thought out integration and informative video. The picture-in-picture is fantastic.
Oh my lord, this is the coolest thing I've seen in fpv all year!!!!!
Damn that price though 😂
I would rather use a potato as an fpv camera then this. Looks pure tripe....🤮
I made one of these couple years ago with a flir sensor and a switch to change directly over the analog feed! But really well done with the IC!
Wow, impressive.
@@GramGrinst du hast da einige Punkte richtig erkannt ! Allerdings legt man da mal gerne min.
dayum!!!! I've wanted thermal on an FPV rig for foreverrrrrrr, so sick!!!!! 😻😻
we also .. but it was a long and hard way .. now we are happy 🙂. I hope the pilots value the "package" we made. In the moment i have the feeling, the IR-resolution and FPS is the "only" spec that are seen. Like lipstick and high-heels .. after some time you find out, that there are more important properties ;-)
i have zero need for this, have never flown fpv but damn i want it lmao
yeah its a nice product but a little to expensive. a solution for fpv car and waterproof will also be cool i think. great work, i love this !
I will assume that this is a camera without an IR filter with post-processing. it cannot be a full-fledged thermal imager.
We use a longwave infrared sensor (8μm to 14μm) with uncooled VOx microbolometer.
120x160px ist nicht gerade viel
Wouldn’t it be much easier to use the walks now digital system with their thermal camera?
They are bigger and have more weight. The view is narrower. I think that they cannot measure temperature and display it. Besides all the solutions we have added, the biggest advantage of our system is the picture in picture approach.
i loled because of the price and the bad image quality ^^
But have you ever seen such image processing with a latency of less than 100 microseconds? ;)
Great product but FLIR Lepton is 105 bucks, where did the 800 euro markup come from? Unfortunately will be very hard to compete when 256x192 25fps sensors are avaliable in cvbs and usb for 200 usd.
We use the best Lepton currently on the market and it's definitively more expensive than you mentioned. Don't forget the other components. In comparison to alternatives it's an FPV solution which consists of many different parts and features to be able to fly accurately and detect thermal hotspots. For more information see the video description.
I think more realistic is 400USD for a CVBS IR cam ? But how you fly while the shutter is closed ? Also for pure IR vision 256x192 may be to low resolution for FPV flying ? For search and rescue, you need to identify your "target" .. is it a hot stone, or a dog ? .. with IR 640x480 you will know, but what is the price, and what is the size ? So finding a hotspot with "low-res" IR and identify it with the standard FPV cam, is the idea behind the System. fyi: i am the boss of the company, how dumpt a lot of time, effort and money in this project, mainly for our local hunters and farmers.
If theres an a stable mode on the drone you can save 🔋 an fly longer by having the olption to tern off the tracking up an down lock target an fpv tilt the 6 min of flying time over 10 or 12 min is a bummer take care great ideal an i think this product is needed on the market with better battery life an longer flying times this will inly get better
@@JuryLoecker Infiray tiny1-x is very good cheap thermal sensor used in all those cheap usb thermal cameras. Its also not subject to export restrictions like FLIR products.
@@Trule2456 yes, we know this sensor. It is cheep and has good resolution and FPS. We tried to contact the manufacturer about the datasheet and the electrical interfacing. But till now no response .. So in the moment it is no option, because the missing information, sorry.
Hefty price.... but it's an unique sollution.
I hope this is used for peaceful purposes :(
We hope too. That is our intention. Have you already seen our fawn rescue video? 🦌
DJI is not blocking the usage of their products in a war zone. They restricted the selling in RUS and UA only, which is a joke. For DJI it does not matter if the product is bought in Poland or anywhere else and than carried. UA even droped the import tax on drones. Drone operators love the "find and rescue" abilities. The problem is not just the manufacturer, it is more likely the user, politics and loss of common sense.
The resolution and refresh rate is way too low for the price. Unless the sensor is manufactured in EU or sourced from US cores, then it makes sense. I do love the PIP display approach though.
I'm glad you love the "Picture in Picture" A US thermal core is used. Due to export restriction it's limited in its framerate. Because of the combination with the visible image there are no constraints. To reach the needs of a FPV pilot, we have focused on a low additional latency (<0.1ms). The system is manufactured in Austria.
@@InEL-FPV The price is perfectly reasonable then.
Super Arbeit. Aber 1000 Bucks is scho zach...
Danke!
Great work
Thanks :)
Ukraine right now 👀
They will never use this, 4x as expensive and worse sensors available on the market currently
@@Trule2456 than they should do, they got a lot of money to do that. But the fact that UA drone "experts" like you are watching this confirms the lack of thermal (and other) drones in UA. see first hand front reporting from the UA ruclips.net/video/kKmPUj4r9gM/видео.html beside that: make peace, not war.
@@EEMtube you have no idea what you are talking about and all your information comes from a RUclipsr payed by the UK government. If you read my other comments you would see I linked the thermal sensor that is being used.
amazing stuff
Thank you!
Sehr schöne Lösung 👍🏻
Danke 👍🏻
Would love to try that out here in the desert.
Sounds great! We expect to be able to ship to more countries within the next few months 👍🏻
love this video, thanks for making this possible
I'm really pleased
Habe mir schon öfters gedacht, dass man FPV Drohnen dafür nutzen könnte. Cool, zu sehen wie das gemacht wird.
Can you name all the parts and everything used with this setup including that screen, im new to drones so idk much but id lime to make this setup.
