Hello, MKF Developer here. "made a long time ago" the game is still in active development! The current release, v0.8.8 Rev C, was released August 9th of this year. We are currently working on the next release (it should be a big one, trust me!). Game Controller Support works natively with MKF. Just plug and play! The main problem is that GameMaker (the engine we work with) is stupidly old (game has been developed in it since 2007). The game can't really recognize what Controller you're using and so some of the default Controller assignments are a bit weird. Because of all this, we're stuck using terminology like "JUMP", "RUN" and "SPECIAL" buttons for controls, so really Players need to assign the controls themselves (F5 or Settings -> Control Configuration) and remember them when they're mentioned. Keep in mind some secret exits are required to complete the game (well, the current iteration). That one secret exit you mentioned you didn't like? You kind of do need to complete it. However, keep in mind also MKF is very open-eneded: you don't need to complete the game in any specific order. So if you get hung up with something: go somewhere else and come back to it later :) Any recommendations for playing another character? Depends on your playstyle. Do you like Stomping Enemies (Mario, Luigi, Wario, Waluigi, Sonic and Tails)? Spin Dashing through them at top speeds (Sonic and Tails)? Shooting them (Mega Man, Proto Man, Arthur, Samus)? Attacking with Melee Weapons and using Sub-Items as backups (Both Links, Simon, Ryu)? Oh and Vile and Zero are kind of the 2 OP Characters, but aren't generally as interesting as they don't get Power-Ups. Classic Mario and Classic Luigi are the Hard Mode characters: not recommended for new players at all. Whoever you play as next: in Player Select, when you scroll to a character, press UP and DOWN to read more details about them. In the next release, there should be basic visual controls for your current character you can access from the Pause Menu when you're in a level (taken a lot of effort to create Control Reference Images for all 17 Playable Characters). Also don't too quickly judge a character from playing them for only a short period of time: these characters are playtested a lot and we do a lot of game balancing. Hope you have a lot of fun! MKF is 9 Worlds with +200 Levels, so there's lots of content :)

I replayed this game a few years ago and platinum Trophied this game same with Jak 2 I only need like 3 or 4 more on Jak 3 I’m a complete Fan boy for this game

I remember being stuck on this part of the game for so long when I played it as a kid. One of my fave games of all time tho. Seing this vid brought back so many good memories, thanks for making my day ^^

Putting this in my backlog Playlist to watch. Always love coming back to these old great titles. Watching Old let's plays or even new ones always gives me a sense of nostalgia.

Such a great 3d platformer Saga. Wish you on the best of luck with this series! I love the remaster and all but there's something about the 480i/480p resolution I just keep coming back to when playing these old titles. Love the commentary ❤ keep up the great work.
