Stop fussing and keep your #watercolour painting simple!
Welcome back to my channel, this week I am going to be concentrate on keeping things simple and easy, so I don't want to be fussing with any details.
The materials I'm using today are my schmincke horadam pigments, my 1"hake brush, 2/0 isabay brush and no2 liner brush for my main brushes.
Like I said I'm not after to many details, just a simple and easy landscape painting but I do use a smaller da vinci brush for details for the tree and I'm using Bockingford hot pressed paper. Hope you enjoy this one and find it useful. Don't forget to give me a like and leave a comment 😊

Welcome back to another #watercolor demo, this one is a quick and loose sketch and I'm using my bockingford hot pressed paper once again, it's really quite nice to use with the different style of paintingbit requires. Welcome back to my chanel, I wanted to try something completely different for this week's #watercolor #landscape painting. I've recently seen Joe Menza using white Gouache pigment in his watercolour painting and so I thought I'd give this a go. Instead of using Gouache I'm using Chinese white watercolour paint and this is cotman brand so it's very affordable. I start off by using some of the wh...

Welcome to my channel, in this video we are going to be looking at #painting light in #watercolors. When I first started using watercolors, I was using the white that came in my first set of cotman paints, think it was a Chinese white until my art teacher at college told me to use the white of the paper for the white, might sound obvious but at the age of 16 I hadn't really got a clue what I wa...

Mr. Cool thanks lol I wish I were cool :). I don't mind being compared to Bob Ross it is a high compliment. Just to say since I watched the whole video, the way I do my skies is I mix the white in with the paint, I didn't see much of a difference here either I think you probably did not mix in that much. It takes on an almost pastel look the way I use it. I will say it looks like your granulated nicely. also it looks like it lifted more easily. Thx for the shout out.

Chinese white does work it's only semi-opaque. Usually it's zinc white whereas the W&N permanent white is Titanium.

@joemenzaart Yes I thought while using Chinese whites it's more of a semi opaque and would definately prefer the white gouache if I could find it, maybe I'll have to buy some more. As if I need an excuse to get more supplies lol 😆

Now I’m excited to use it for other projects in book making. I think it might make a wonderful watercolor print using Japanese inks. ❤
