INFAMOUS AMERICA | ZODIAC KILLER Ep5 – “Presidio Heights”
INFAMOUS AMERICA presented by Black Barrel Media. Two weeks after the attack at Lake Berryessa, the Zodiac shoots and kills a taxi cab driver in San Francisco. Multiple witnesses see the killer, but the police still struggle to find him. The killer sends more letters and now issues threats against school kids in the San Francisco region. At the same time, it appears as though he organizes a stunt with a local TV show. The bizarre TV episode leads to more frustration for police, and more letters from the killer.

    How times have changed, in 1969 you could just enter onto a military base and not be stopped by guards or MP's, or did he belong on the base? Interesting.

      1986 I drove onto a military base with an 18 wheeler, no drivers license, fake DOT cards, no log book and no insurance and picked up a load of machine guns. Don't blame me. I was just a dumb codriver. But all the guns were properly delivered and everyone lived happily ever after. But, yeah, it's changed for the better now. Fake DOT cards no longer work 🤣

      @@nikkiwilder660 No they sure don't, I myself have been an owner operator and delivered to military bases in the last few years. We now have to get out of our trucks, while they are searched, front, back and underneath. They run all kinds of background checks before you can get a load going on a base and if you are going to haul for them on the regular they even do credit checks and they pick random loads that they will follow in unmarked cars and you will get a complete print out of every stop, including what exit you take in what state to get out and walk your dog. But it paid good! I no longer drive, too much government regulation, made sure I had no debt, came off the road and took an office job.

      @@sandradavis33I got out in the early 90s. I don't like too many rules.😄 Everything got delivered but it was more enjoyable my way. Wild cat. But it disturbed even me that I drove out with all those guns. I'm glad they fixed those loopholes. And the thieving broker kept my Constant Surveillance pay so it wasn't really as lucrative for me as it should have been. And it was quite nerve-wracking riding around with all those 50 cals. I would've appreciated the military knowing where I was. I'm surprised I made the delivery instead of being robbed and buried in the desert. I'm glad they fixed the system.

    For some reason, I don’t recall reading about someone testifying that they were chased by two people in a white car prior to the shooting.. I know that Mike Mageau mentioned being chased at the blue rock Spring shooting. Based on everything I’ve ever read, I believe it was Arthur Lee Allen and Don Cheney in the white car

    I find it very interesting that Betty Lou wrote about a “Richard” on a note before the night of the murder.. and Darlene Ferrin told Michael Mageau that a “Richard” might be following them? Then the very first police officer to arrive at the Blue Rock Springs scene wearing street clothes and an unmarked police car has the first name “Richard”. 👀

    Some of the interviews regarding this murder and the couple later the next year mentioned game poachers. An old poachers trick (back then) was to tape a flashlight to the gun. The pistol probably used in this murder came in a 7.5 inch barrel model. Easy to tape a flashlight to it. The killer wasn't shooting at Betty in the dark, she was illuminated.

    Strange….. other accounts say Darlene told Mike , that’s just Richard when he asked about the car that pulled up. Then the first officer there was Richard Hoffman, because he was in the area. Over the years the suspect description changed, doesn’t sound like the same person did all the killings.

    • @littlebrysonschannel
      @littlebrysonschannel 10 дней назад

      Isn’t it also interesting that Betty Lou Jenson wrote on a piece of paper about a guy named “Richard” before she got murdered? Richard Hoffman’s police assignment was to police “lover’s lane” areas in an unmarked police car and wearing street clothes. He said Blue Rocks Springs was “clear” over the radio around the same time the murder happened. That puts him near or at the murder location at the time of the shooting. Things that make you say hmmmm?

    I grew up in the tri state area of tn, nwga, neAL. There were always people like this running around. Every town had one or two that were really bad men. Every little town had a few people end up dead in the river, thrown in a old well, blown up, or shot on some backroad. If it hadn't been for bootleggers and hard core bible thumpers then liquor would have been legal and alot less of this would have happened. Around here they still bust illegal gambling halls, human trafficking, illegal slot machines, and dope deals. Most cops don't want to actually stop crime because thats dangerous and doesn't pay anything. Traffic stops and parking tickets bring in more money.....
