Tested out the Atomic Shad in the 40mm size. Great lure that produces a nice action on the slow roll and the twitch.

Nice fish dude keep it up
Get it real mate. They are established CREEKS. not drains! Drains are man made concreted water run off channels. Nothing special what you are doing or catching in a NORMAL/NATURAL habitat
What size dart wing for the beach?
hey mate, 130mm
Nice conditions - which part of the Swains was this filmed thanks
Nice session, did you notice any flex in the Vanford under load?
Hi guy, congratulations on your videos! I am an Italian angler, in September I will be on holiday in Australia in the Cairns area and I would like to fish and make videos for my RUclips channel. Do I need a license to fish? Thanks
Hey mate, you don't need a licence to fish in Queensland. Only some of the stocked dams you need a permit to fish, apart from that your fine to fish everywhere.
Nice video!
Awesome vid mate and some good info. I’m just on my way to cairns and found your video 👌
I’ve been to this exact spot the problem is there is a lot of people how swim here but if no one is swimming it’s a good spot we have even caught Barra here
what did you catch the barra on
@@joshuas_fishing 3 inch zman with a spinner blade
@@rockzzlol hey i know you
See any sharks?
I didnt see any mate but I'm sure little reef sharks are spotted there all the time
im moving to cairns in april please take me for a sesh
Where is that first spot? Just under sheridan ST bridge near the yellow arrow track?
Is that near the air port because when my mum was taking us shop i seen a nice spot near air port
Croc city 🐊

Mantap
Went fishing in one of them little drains the other day and caught a 39cm jack. Ps great videos mate
hey nice video how big was the soft plastic lure you were using?
Hey mate any lures in the vid would of been around 4 - 6 inch 👍
where was this spot mate?
goomboora park mate, have to fish it after heaps of rain otherwise its too shallow
@@ccfishing96 nice video and also what was the gear you were using?
@@teca-au3692 thanks. Rod is just a Shimano Raider soft plastics edition by Ian Miller. Reel is a just a basic Daiwa 2500, 8lb braid
@@ccfishing96 thats nice, are you gonna be post any videos soon
Where is the last spot where you dropped the jack
Hey mate just park at J & J Richardson in Portsmith. It's the drain just near it
No one turns on a fishing video to listen to music. One, your taste in music will NEVER satisfy anyone else. Two, we like to hear specifics on rig, bait lures etc. Three, tips, how to read the fish, the beach or wherever, tides etc. This isn’t a bad video, but it offers nothing to learn so, why waste time on it when so many others will teach me something?
Would you eat the fish from the drains mate? Or you think they could be a bit polluted being inner city? Ps can you do a video on catching redclaw or cheriban around Cairns?
This guy goes fishing at 5:45pm and wonders why he runs out of light 😂
clown. Let me know if you ever leave the house and go for a fish.
Callum Carmont sheesh I’ll let you know at 5:30 bro
@@samdavis456 😂
Hey mate what pound line were you using thanks
10lb braid most the time in those vids mate. 12lb fluerocarbon leader.
@@ccfishing96 I would be going to those spots would 20lb lime be ok?
@@teca-au3692 20lb will be fine mate
What about crocs mate?
Good stuff bud! Those lil creeks around cairns hold some nice fish.
Cheers mate they are definitely hit and miss!
Hi, please let me know the last location on your vid, much appreciated.
Hi Ric. That is the creek that runs through Portsmith. Park at J & J Richards and go from there. Cheers
@@ccfishing96 Cheers mate. Seems a nice spot.
Do you eat these fish you catch out of the drains?
I've never eaten one mate but they would be fine. The water just runs in and out from the inlet.
@@ccfishing96 it would be great if you could get them tested not all but a few
@@ccfishing96 if you gave me a fish i would eat it unless if the creek wasnt running
Hey mate, is blackfish also drummer?
Hey mate, no I'm referring to Luderick when I say I Blackfish
They don’t get up to cairns hey? I just moved here and trying to figure it out.
No mate not in Cairns. This video is when I lived in Northern NSW.
Dang it, was hoping they randomly showed up here. Bugga
Let me know if you need any spots to start out with in Cairns. What type of fishing do you do?
Where is this spot mate ?
Hey mate, first spot is saltwater creek in Cairns North near the Yellow Arrow trail, second spot is near Piccones IGA in Edge Hill, third spot is next to J & J Richardson in Portsmith. Let me know if you need more details
Callum Carmont thanks I will try
Hey mate im in cairns and do the same thing as you looking to make some fishing mates to fish with if your keen...
Bro i watched your vids they are good 🥰
What gear were ya using mate? And any tips on what spots to try in the inlet?
Hey mate. We were on a charter so just basic spin gear - about 30lb mono it felt like. Just Shimano Raider rods which are nice and light. My tip would be to start fishing an hour after the top of the high tide along the mangroves anywhere. As the water starts draining out all the predatory fish line up and wait for the bait to be flushed out. Always fish big tides as well - around the new or full moon. Goodluck 🤙
@@ccfishing96 Cheers mate, went yesterday and got a couple nice jacks just on hightide on live herring.
hey mate how deep does the lure dive
1m
First in, best dressed.
nice catches. i use the same lure but a different colour to catch Australian bass in my vid.
