Race Day Replay
Великобритания
Добавлен 15 фев 2021
Not affiliated with F1, FOM, ITV or BBC.
Welcome! My aim is to upload all of the pre and post-race shows from ITV, and later BBC, starting with the 2000 Australian GP. None of the videos are monetised and all are copyright FOM & either ITV or BBC.
Shows are uploaded weekly and will be 'as broadcast' where possible. However, many Driver Press Conferences have been removed due to copyright block by FOM.
There is no live track footage in the uploads. Races are available on F1TV
If any shows are missing they are likely copyright blocked by FOM
If you're going to rob my videos at least give me a credit. I've spent hundreds of hours capturing this stuff from VHS for my and your pleasure.
Content begging = block

Recorded on Sunday 19th March 2006
Lewis Hamilton forever.
The last true multi competitive team season.
Nakajima was a waste of space in 2009
VERY GOOD ❤ THANKS
3 yrs no comments? Let me change that
Poor Nick Heidfeld imo he could've fought to score points for Prost had his car been able to pass inspection or at least be able to start from the back from the grid. Alesi couldn't do any better either as the Prost-Peugeot was THE WORST car in the 2000 season when it comes to aero performance and in power.
Thanks for uploading these. I’m on 2003 on my rewatch, and it’s nice to have these available after the F1TV coverage ends.
@@JamieAtSLC you're welcome. That's exactly what I hoped people would do, watch the pre, then the race and then the post 😁
Legard annoyed the holy hell out of me all throughout 2009/2010. I genuinely think the BBC made a criminal offence in not offering James Allen a contract. James & Martin worked brilliantly together!
25:22 hurts as someone that wants them to be doing better
Miss this circuit
Eddie practically man handling Schumacher out of the garage to do an interview 😂
This race was a key turning point I think for 2000s F1 timeline, McLaren were still racing the 2002 car and the new Mercedes engine fitment was always compromised and the 2003 car never came, Kimi ends up not finishing this race losing 10 points and losing the driver’s championship by 2 points, losing 2nd to Williams in constructors and a lot of money, Micheal winning his record breaking 6th title and Ferrari getting all of the momentum required for 2004. McLaren was in shambles until 2005 and team politics, eventually leading to Newey leaving, I ever wonder if McLaren and Kimi got 2003, how would this impact the rest of 2000s timeline, if 2007 would ever even happen
Someone needs to make a compilation video of Martin’s grid fights with that reporter from Sky Germany
Some drive from Rubens on this day. Even as a staunch JB fan, always loved Rubens. I think everyone did really. If Jenson couldn't be WC I'd of loved it to have been him.
32:30 😂
how do you get all this?
Many years of taping races and collecting videos from various sources
This is one of the most intense pre race shows, real insight into the history and vibe of that day in Japan 98. Love that Martin Brundle was able to get such a detailed interview with Mika before he was about to create history. Great channel, great work. Keep going
Please tell me that’s not Mansells own house at 54:15……….
Im like Nigel. When I get into my car I check that all the wheels are present and can’t fall off. A wheel falling off on my way to work could kill me.
I'm old enough to remember this era of F1 and well before it as well. The thing that had me laughing was the Ferrari pit crew wearing Deck shoes.
Peak F1….late 70s to late 90s
I've got the same lump in my throat listening back to Murray's commentary, as I did watching this live early Sunday morning all those years ago
Absolutely fantastic documentary. I never got the chance to watch Nigel driving for Ferrari live because I was too young back then but since I became a Ferrari fan I've always had only huge respect and admiration for "Il Leone" Mansell. His amazing overtakes in Hungary '89 and Mexico '90 are legendary. He really was like a lion behind the wheel and also the last Ferrari driver chosen by Enzo himself.
Mansell was the reason I started following F1 from 1986 onwards - a guy with his heart on his sleeve. Completely different from today's F1 - balls out racing then.
Nice to see the obvious love & devotion - top man
No abs. No traction control. No seat belt. No sensors. No roll cage. Just balls of steel
incredible how Monaco has changed since 1990
The best ever!
From one of F1’s best races to one of its worst
II used to see him in nutgrove when they opened first always liked him his podcast with Dc is great
Studio TC7 BBC television centre
Where’s the post quali
the coverage finished as soon as the drivers reached parc ferme so there isn't one. That's why I've put this video up
@ Ah okay it was just my initial thoughts
Hopefully Alex makes it to F1 one day!
So cool! I wonder who else was in that race
😂
Noticed a 63 on one of the karts. George Russell perhaps?
9:01 If ever the phrase "papering over the cracks" could describe a result, it would perfectly apply to Eddie Irvine's 4th place finish in that race. This was not the product of sheer pace or a storming drive through the field-after all, Irvine had started 19th on the grid. Instead, his result was down to sheer luck and the chaotic nature of the race. Irvine even found himself in 3rd at one stage, thanks to the high attrition rate, particularly at the first corner. Later, Coulthard's gearbox issue caused him to slide off at the second safety car restart, while Jarno Trulli's spin also played into Irvine's hands. Crucially, Irvine simply stayed out of trouble, and his ability to capitalize on others' misfortunes propelled him to 4th place. Reflecting on the race, Irvine himself admitted it was likely down to "beginner's luck" for Guenther Steiner-yes, the same Guenther Steiner who would go on to become F1’s infamous "human swearbox" during his time with Haas. That weekend, in Steiner’s now-iconic words from Drive to Survive, Jaguar "looked like a bunch of clowns," and with good reason. The R3 was utterly abysmal at the start of the season. In a phone call with F1 journalist Maurice Hamilton, Irvine bluntly described the car in just nine words: "Don’t put any money on this car-it’s shit." The late Niki Lauda, also involved with Jaguar at the time, echoed this sentiment, saying, "The car was designed all wrong, and it didn’t work." The situation was so dire that Jaguar even considered reverting to the previous year’s R2 chassis. Yet, that fortuitous 4th place result for Irvine-arguably one of the luckiest of his career-meant Jaguar appeared to have achieved some level of success. In reality, however, it was a fleeting moment of glory in what was otherwise a disastrous season. As Steiner might put it, Jaguar looked like "rockstars" that day, but only by serious, serious default.
is alex f1
2:06 Jackie Stewart says that Schumacher could be the man to challenge Prost's landmark of 50 wins.
Nice to see thanks
Enjoyed this and then watched Eddies "This is your life" which was also great to see all them lovely Irish folk.
I like the fact that Bobby George is sitting behind Damon.
Niki was truly a fascinating character.
Well done short film. Rowan showed that he is more than just a comic actor. Sadly, Birkin appears to be just charming, selfish lout. He spread ruin, poverty, and heartache in his wake.
Thank you very much for this incredible video !
He is in the top 5 of all time.Amazing driver.
Steve Pising wants his race car back!
I still don't think i've seen any footage of Prost applying any opposite lock to a car. Quite amazing.
And 9 years later Murray he WAS world champion!
I've still got my vhs video of this. Bit annoyed you've cut the monaco footage through!
Any edits are due to copyright block by FOM
No words can describe the loss
Im fairly certain jeremy clarkson is in the passenger seat of that SLR at 45:25.
A young prodigy was on McLaren paddock that weekend
A disappointing race for button and hamilton
