Gaggia Classic Mods: Stage 3 - 9 Bar OPV Pressure
Reducing the pressure on a 2010 Gaggia Classic from 10 Bar to 9 Bar via a screw adjustment over pressure valve. When I first did this mod I brought it down from 15 Bar to 10 Bar, if the mod hasn't been done before it is likely at 13 - 15 Bar. This mod is looking at static pressure as it is easy to monitor. All you need is a cheap pressure gauge, screw driver, 17mm socket, 5mm allen key. Don't do this mod unless you are competent! Lastly, there are some who say 10bar at the portafilter means 9 bar in the basket, this doesn't make a lot of sense to me, and the dynamic pressure is always going to be higher, so that leads to me thinking that even setting it to 9bar static at the portafilter m...

Repairing a Surfboard: Nose, Tail, and Rail Ding.
Просмотров 19 тыс.3 года назад
Showing how I attempted to repair this surfboard (9' 6" longboard). There was some major damage to the nose, tail and rail sections of the board, along with a bunch of smaller dings and cracks, including some water damage. All areas were sanded down, filled with a epoxy filler resin mix, and fibre glassed to make the board water tight. Epoxy resin is quite different to your standard polyester r...
How to fix a dead key on a keyboard - KORG SP170S Piano
Просмотров 104 тыс.4 года назад
There are videos showing how to open up some keyboards and clean dust to fix keys. I tried that and found that was not the problem. In this video I go through how to take apart my electric piano, look at the electronics, and replace the silicone pad which was causing an unresponsive dead key. This has revived a really nice keyboard. The replacement part is very standardized and I would imagine ...

It seems Korg UK are no longer prepared to supply such components to the customer. Only approved third-party service techs will be able to obtain them.

Thanks! My son's old Korg had 6-7 dead or wonky keys. I bought a set of replacement silicone contact strips for $50, and I was able to get almost all of them working again. It now has 87 out of 88 working keys, plus one extra screw left over 🤣. I know exactly where it goes, but I'm not taking out the other 30 screws again just to put this one back.

This worked perfectly. I took my sp170s apart as in the video. I purchased 7 of rhe rubber contacts from Korg for $40 Canadian. Be careful when replacing the keys. If the strip moves even slightly it won't work. I suggest keeping the wiring connected when putting the keys back to test if they are working.before screwing it all back together.

Hi... I bought a Korg B2 renewed in amazon, the left speaker sounds like if the speaker is broken but as soon as i press the top part of the case that sounds disappear, maybe a cable is trought the speaker cone and thats why is making that noise... Do you think is hard to fix it?

I saw someone on here post about another video with an eraser fix. It worked!!! I drilled a hole near the base of a latex(polymer is better) eraser that I got in a pack of 3 for $1.25 at the dollar store. The eraser is 2.3 inches long and you need one at least that size. I simply took out the screws on the bottom, removed the old actuator and slid the drilled latex eraser over the hole and laid across the sensor, then put the 6/7 screws back on and it worked like a charm!!!

Thanks for the video. The middle C key on my Korg B2 was sluggish to return to the top. Disassembly was just like yours, except it had a wiring harness on the left side and I couldn’t get that unplugged, so the cover had to be somewhat in the way for the whole process. All is well now.

Fantastic! Thanks for the video - even cheaper version: I took the rubber actuator out, which was really stiff having not used it in a long while, and just kept bending it until it was really flexible again. Put it back, and it worked a treat! Thanks so much.

I just tried a simpler version of this: Used a cross-headed / Phillips screwdriver to undo the seven screws on the underside, then it opened-up easily, being careful with the ribbon cable. I then took the rubber actuator out by hand and scraped any grease off the rubber onto the metal plate it was touching. I then popped the rubber actuator into hot (not boiling) water for a few minutes, dried it off, and reassembled. The pedal works perfectly... and if seizes up again, I'll either try the hot water trick again, or order the spare part.

Hi thanks for your video 👍🏻 I am currently repairing an epoxy Webber mini fish on the nose , and after cleaning, sanding and then adding the resin with q cell, I noticed a pin hole in the resin that was leaking air bubbles. Even when dry and sanded to shape, there is still an open pin hole leaking air. I haven’t added cloth yet, so just wondering if you could offer advice? Cheers guys.

I have this same keyboard but all the sudden I'm not getting the same amplitude out of each key for the same velocity pressed. Sometimes I hear almost nothing, then you press over and over and it gets louder. The keyboard is rarely used but is otherwise mostly used by the kids having fun on it but they don't hammer the keys nor has anything been spilled on it. You didn't really demonstrate what your issue was other than saying it's dead so I assume not working at all. Could I potentially have the same issue and fix as yours or is mine more of a circuit board issue considering it affects almost all of the keys (mostly the black keys)?
