I mix it up between a daiwa tatula and a shimano dc curado. With a 10-17lb baitcast rod. I don’t use spin for this kind of fishing

You fish the same zone in the yak as you do in the boat? ive eyed that section of water off many times but thought the current might rip to fast through there for a yak.

hey Jai, love your vids mate. Just a little tip I've found with birdsnests on the baitcasters. After you pluck out the loops on the spool, hold the line tight in front of the reel as you wind it back on. Any loose line that is wound back on the spool is more likely to create another birdsnest the next cast. You're killing it though mate. Looks like you have heaps of fun doing it too.

What is your gear of choice when chasing jacks?
Hayden Loader Main set up is a daiwa tatula on a 6ft sumari rod. 20 braid 30 leader. I can stop most of them. But I get dusted by the odd one
cod look more fun than the jacks lol why people get obsessed with a species IDK.
@DH why queenslanders always seem disappointed when a cod comes up IDK they look like fun to me.
