Its way less fun after brinking 50ish items with no upgrade. It just depressing. Its not hard to figure out the odds so it just become a grind

But nobody is forcing you to use it. You can still play the game with your own restrictions (like white items only).

In d3 you can actually get all that you need consistently every time.

There are 15 characters in the game, so 50-100 hours with each is more than enough.
