So for the back of the air filter box theres a piece of metal looks like a post. On the bottom of the air box is a rubber grommet. So its only being held down by that. You would just need to wiggle it as you pull upward and out. You can also try a twisting motion or wven spraying some windex or soapy water when you take the air filter out you can see it. Or even grease on a Qtip.

Ah it’s some thing I bought on eBay, it’s suppose to create like a vortex of air as your throttle body opens so you get better air fuel mixture, aka better gas mileage

Ha Thank you bro, i know I didn’t like any of the videos I found online. It was way to hard. No room to squeeze the tab on the clip. This was the easiest way for me to do it. I’d rather spend more time on the plastic removal. I’m glad I could help!

@@rhdadrian Thanks. I tried doing it. i was able to do it till unclamping the hoses from either side of the filter. However i was not able to slide out the hoses from the filter with bare hands. I would have to come back at it again with a tool. Had to reassemble the whole thing back without replacing the filter until i find the proper hose removal tool. LOL Btw thanks again for the effort you put into this vid. it helped alot. i was told in the begning that these newer model cars dd dnot have a replaceable transmission filter. liike the older ones where you unbolt the whole transmissiion oil pan to replace the filter. i was surprised to know that 2012 civic did have a transmission oil filter. just gave it a chance by searching it on youtube.

@@alirahman4762 sorry to hear that, I was able to get it off with some 45’degree pliers and spray some soapy water or degreaser to slip it off! Once you pull the clamp down and off of it enough you want to wiggle it side to side as you pull it down. And hold the filter in place so it’s not moving around on you. I did it by myself one hand holding the filter the other rotating the hose with the pliers. I’m glad I was able to help!

Is this the only transmission filter or doed it also has a internal 1 as well other than the external (for CVT)

I did mine on a 2010 and found that after removing the air filter box removed the very top clamp leading to the metal pipe remove that first and remove the bottom side of the filter hose clamp to the metal pipe also using long needle nose pliers,you then remove the saddle clamp and twist and turn the rubber hose to the metal pipe on top and bottom and remove the filter with both rubber hoses attached to the filter and once the filter is out swap out both hoses to the new filter and lube up both metal tubing top and bottom with some Wd 40 and slide it back on and clamp it using the long needle nose pliers but sometimes you might be easier to get the bottom hose from under the car but I did not have to as I got everything from the topside

No, I only did the one with the fat rubber hose. It has a orange O’ring. It clamps on to the plastic tube. Becareful not to overtighten it cause it will break and then you’re screwed you’ll have to special order it from Honda. Which I had to do.

If it’s leaking, it can be a cause of it,cause it’s loosing pressure as well as fluid! It’s a small price to pay to see if it fixes its ya know!

I'm bout to replace mine and yes it cause it to steer hard and pump whining loud. Mine been leaking and my drive way is just full of fluids I also replacing the hose to the resivor to line and res to pump. Going to autozone to pick up o rings and replace them both.

There’s the metal hard line and then the plastic one that clamps to the rubber hose. It’s the plastic piece with the orange O’ring I think it’s the fatter one in the video!

Hell yeah! That’s awesome! I forgot to mention it helps if you have a small mirror to see. If you follow the lines you can feel where the bolts are at.
