eBay Twin I-Beam Pre-Runner Build | Part 4
In this video I assemble and install some LX Shock 90mm shocks and bypass. Had to make some slight changes to make then fit how I want. Overall happy with how it turned out!

eBay Twin I-beam Chassis Kit Unboxing/Build!
Просмотров 12 тыс.Месяц назад
Hey all! Thanks for tuning in to my first non Short video. Still experimenting with camera angles, transitions, intros/outros. Today I'm unboxing and assembling the eBay version full chassis kit of the new popular Proline Racing Twin I-Beam kit! This is the full chassis "SCX10/ 10II" style kit version that comes with everything to get going. They also have just the Beams kit at a lesser cost if...

Axial SCX10ii CRC Wrangler RTR Rock Crawling
Why put 8 shocks on a superlight rig ?🤔
Just subscribed! I make pertinent trophy truck videos also. It’s good to see a fellow prerunner guy.
I ordered one. Thx
Like I said in one of your parts of the build I'm gonna have to steal this idea and the body from you. A close friend of mine dreamed to build one of these IRL but neither of us could afford something like that. So I'm gonna build it scale. And I may reach out to you to figure out how to go abouts building this. I'll definitely be reaching out to the groups on Reddit too.
I'm definitely stealing this idea, my late friends dream truck was to make his old crusty ranger into a IFS trophy truck. It was the coolest thing I could think of. I would like to find a custom sticker maker to make a sticker and stick to the back window for him.
Just went through the comments What body is that
It's the ProlineRacing Ford Ranger!
This truck is awesome. Nice work
Yeah that’s normal they just don’t drive straight brah 🤷
Looks sick big fan of the i-beam pre-runners
we should crawl sometime
Love this rig!
I'm usually into big rock crawler scale rigs -- but this is very cool looking one of the coolest pre-runner builds i've seen!
Your name is max? Thats what you think, trax ass law suit incoming 😂😂. JK, nice vid.
🤣
😂😂😂
Hey just out of curiosity what awning is that on your TF2? I beam looks sick!
Hey! It's from eBay, just search RC rock crawler awning!
yeah, Your front shocks bottom out before the beams reach full travel, that’s a hint you installed the radius arms switched L/R. You’ll notice the shock mount tab would then be much lower. ALSO, the 2nd hint is that at ride height your tires have positive camber which isn’t ideal. Yeah, swap them radius arms and you’ll be golden. Once that’s done i wouldn’t be surprised if your wheel alignment needs that shorter swing arm link.
Why are the beams crooked? From the top view the left beam looks like it’s 90° to the centerline and the right beam looks like it’s 80° to centerline. It’s not how beans are supposed to be in reality. Try swapping the two radius arms.
i just have to ask.. why. such a weird suspension design.. onto the next vid need to see this and how it works
Real FOrd trucks came this way for years. It is more of a scale realism gimmick than a performance improving one.
Beautiful
Good job man. Coming right along
I’m getting one these kits. Looks good man
Very nice bro! Keep up the good work. Not to far from you, Corona, CA here
I’m very interested in this project but the title has eBay in it for some reason and I avoid eBay at all cost
I now know what my winter build is going to be
Hope it drives as good as it looks.
woot woo! - do they leak thou🤔 curious, they look v nice!
could have my arm twisted🤪
I've had some that do, and some that don't, so far these aren't leaking!
I bought one of the early sets they made for my UDR and they were the absolute worst shocks I've ever encountered. They leaked from every bypass, shaft, and caps. Worst part was the body's were rough inside, where the bypasses connected to the body. So I ran it 1 pack, and the roughness grinded the pistons down to half their original size, and the shafts just flopped side to side, and had 0 dampening. I emailed them, and they wanted me to send them $90 dollars for them to warranty me another set. I'll never buy another product from them again.
@@TheAmericanUhate whoa! Wonder if they are different now? The UDR ones are NOT cheap, cost wise
@maxsdrc At the time with shipping I think around $180 if I remember correctly. I left a few comments about it on facebook when people asked about them on the UDR groups and lx messaged me, asking me to stop saying negative things lol. I've got all the pictures and screenshots of everything. Still have the messages & emails too
Looks awesome! I really like that wheel & tire size and style. It fits the body size and the i-beams really well. I'm excited to see how this things drives when you get is completed.
Looking good brother. On my beam setup the sprung front shocks will work better mounted to the beam rather than the radius arm. I think the front right shock is mounted behind the beam while the front left is mounted in front of the beam, reference the proline instructions, so they get full bump and are more inline. Notice the angle of the front right bypass, I believe its designed to be mounted behind the beam like full size beam trucks. Sick ass build man, coming slong nicely. Might be worth looking at the rc4wd extended ball ends and see if they fit the lx shafts for better clearance.
LOOKS GREAT 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
thats a nice build i appreciate the videos. im going to have a fleet of these
Looks Incredible! Great job!
good job i just subbed because of this video. thanks for sharing definitely buying one. from Alberta Canada❤
man you are killin it with this build. very nice!
I appreciate it!
When you take this out lemme know. I'll roll with!
Rubber turned out great bro. It’s gonna be a kick man. Looks amazing
Great job man! Love me some kit bashing. Another front bumper option is the axial 1955 f100 bumper. Only axial bumper I know that has a step down off the frame rails. Great build man. I might have to get one of these beam chassis from ebay, hate to support stolen designs but it looks good. 👊😎
Thanks man! I'll have to check it out. That bumper also sounds hard to find! I know I hate to promote it, but I wanted a metal version! The realism it adds just can't be beat.
Where do i get one for a good price???
I beleave you might have the upper axle links in the wrong spot, on a scx10, the bottom links go to the trans/skid, not that upper links. the upper links attach to the frame .
I need to see a durability test on those parts and the axle too. The axle looks so good i’d hate to see it be all looks and not functional. Im debating on either getting this kit, or the plastic proline kit. I know plastic tends to last longer in crashes due to its ability to flex.
We'll see how it holds up! I'm not sure I'll beat on this hard enough to break anything in the first place. My idea of driving it is on a semi scale short course track!
so question what other axles work with this kit as I was reading that the axle is comes with doesn't have reverse or something along those lines.
The axles spin both directions! I think It must have something to do with the way the dif is cut!
i just ordered this kit! super stoked to start working on it! i will struggle with the cage work but im exited about messing with the electronics
The 3rd member angle ❤️
That's a Currie rock jock replica. The diff cover is canted
Looking good! Your paint work rocks! It's going to be a beauty when finished.
Thanks man, I'm stoked on it too!
Nice rig setup so far. I think it's gonna be a looker for sure when you are done with it 🤙🏽
I think so too!
cage work is really creative! honestly I thought it was metal work when I saw it on Instagram, might have to do something with the same cage I have.
Thanks! Time to chop that cage! Lol
It's what dreams are made of
That's what dreams are made of
Hell yah brother! Nicely done!
You mixed up the I beem mounts on frame sides swap them
It actually ended up being the first tie rod in the swing set was out of adjustment! It was too short
@@maxsdrc so im having a similar issue but toe is outward on both front tires and guidance would be super helpful
I had a build that came out with different camber than the instructions. Turned out i had left and right c-hubs reversed. Try that once if the links are the same.
Love the video more of this I hope :)
That's the plan!
