My Most Van Halen Guitar (Fender Stratocaster w/ Marshall 1959HW)
I have to watch and you play that guitar at your show What did you say the name of your band was And do you have a show on RUclips?
It’s a one off show with a female artist in town. Sophia Mengrosso. I tour with a lot of artists, to see more about me search Mark Bouras on google or instagram etc.
What song you're playing at 4:05?
Knocking on heaven’s door. Guns n roses
Moxie for me, all the way! Nice breaking out some classic Billy Squier...brings me back a loooong way!
@@adamalper6920 thanks for subscribing if you are now
Sounds good , what you think of the JVM 410H ?
I've got the JVM410H, great amp! Jack of all trades; from crystal cleans to blues and classic rock to death metal distortion, it can do it all.
@@TheOlmecindian it’s as good as a many channel amp can be, but you lose a lot compared to the pure tone of a plexi or jcm 800.
can you compare the reverse delay settings?
I don't have access to these, but I remember both had great reverse delay
Sounds great! Great playing. What's the mini humbucker? I hate strat bridge pickups, but really like the tone you are getting.
@@jackcash3362 thanks seymour duncan mini humbucker
Trying to get that evh brown sound which amp should I get
@@DMATTHEW615 both will get it and sound very similar. Just depends on budget and size. I would recommend getting a master volume mod and put a Mr Scary Mod in it
Was wondering, are the mics aimed at the middle of the speaker or on the edge of the cone thanks !
@@christopherdunn317 edge
Does anybody have problems with the flange sound bleeding through when the unit is off?
No haven't had that happen
Prefer the JCM 2000, underrated amp.
It has a pretty good sound but a lot of problems and was noisy. I had two of them and did lots of shootouts
Great video. Are you playing with knob settings as pictured?
@@johnsaltsman7230 thanks yes
I dunno, but it seems like the EVH branded stuff is either identical or worse than the normal mxr offering. They never sound better to my ears.
Any evh stuff I've had is slightly better I think
I’m not a prs guy bc of their tone but this one sounds great through that amp!
Yeah I usually prefer a Les Paul, but everything sounds good through this plexi
Wow the Pogo surprisingly sounds really good. Even better clarity, brightness and tone.
Yeah they sent me this amp to review and I use it a lot for learning material or lower volume playing. Only $29 lol
$29? Wow! Nice playing btw 🤘
@@Randy-jz9ox Thanks!
Been researching for ages bit the bulled and ordered a jvm hoping ut was the right choice 😅
It's a great amp, thanks for subscribing if you are now
I own the dsl u crank the masters on 10 amd just use channel volume and gain
yep
AMAZING tone! Any attenuation on the plexi? Must be crazy loud in the room if not
@@Iskaral_Pust thanks, it’s no that loud. There is a master volume mod. Mr scary mod in it
So nice!
@@timguitar862 thanks
Dsl sounds great to me for the money its a fantastic amp
Yes I have many videos and shootouts of it, vs jcm 800, 1959hw plexi, Friedman etc
sometimes the difference between regular and great is so minuscule
thanks for subscribing if you are now
1960BHW for the win. Listening to them side by side record almost sounds like going from listening to a "real amp" to a modeler through an FRFR. I have no problem with modelers, I own a setup as well, but it's just a completely different feel..... or maybe I'm just bias because I have a 1960AHW with a jcm800 2203x on preorder! lol
I prefer 1960bx and 1960bv depending on the head
@@HollywoodRareGuitars any reason why? I was thinking before i got into it i might have to change the speakers up, but obviously i won't know until i get it in hand
@@AmericanNationalist852 the grill cloth is thick making it darker sounding. Also the other cabs sound more like the classic records to me. I play better through the other cabs for some reason.
Sounds great 👍 50w very EVH
@@davespin9034 thanks
Nice top for a custom. I had a 72 but the thing was like11 pounds. Probably should of kept it... is yours a maple neck too? They did some weird stuff in the 70s. Love the channel-best.
Thanks, not sure about the wood. It is about 11 pounds, I'm selling it. Check link in description for more pics and info.
Cool, what cab are u using the marshall mx 412 or, what speakers stock or
stock combo
Nice! My 77 with rosewood neck is awesome but it is better played sitting down she’s a bit over 9#’s. Can’t beat the neck. Plays like butter.

Thanks Ronn!
love the spanky tele tones!

@@drwhave the Mesa was much better and is the one I still have
@@HollywoodRareGuitars i am really super grateful man. Everyone is on about Radial and Lehle, somehow ignoring the amount of noise you also clearly demonstrated
If you use it for guitar multi-effects processor does it work?
@@tetrodotoxin9782 should be ok
Sounds great and good lookin Tele! I played a 78 Tele once that was literally a boat anchor! I remember reading a 90’s Guitar World article on Soul Asylum and writer made a big deal about Dave Pirner playing Teles through Marshalls and how unusual it was and here we are! You inspired me to crank my 75 Tele Custom and 78 JMP tomorrow! Rawk on Bro!!!! Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for watching! Appreciate the kinds words and thanks for subscribing if you are.
With the exception of the first clip and the clip on the neck with the volume rolled back, I thought the JVM sounded “smokier” and with more body. The EVH sounded “cold” and a bit lacking in the mids. Full disclosure: I never liked Eddie’s tone when he used these in his later years and always preferred his older Marshall Plexi style tones. On the two clips mentioned above where I thought the EVH sounded better, the Marshall sounded a bit muddy and mushy, vs. the EVH which sounded clearer and more aggressive. Another thing of note though is how the EVH has a clean channel and then an OD1 and 2, where 2 is kind of just “more”, vs the Marshall which has 4x that, and the character of the amp changes between channels, which allows for a heckuva lot more versatility and chances to get the sound someone’s hearing in their head right. With the EVH, if you don’t like the first OD channel voicing, you’re not going to have much more luck with the red channel either. All that being said, the JVMs best feature is also its worst - too many options. However I am considering it on the chance that it does get one good sound which is all I need.
@@crazytrain591 thanks for comment
Beautiful Les Paul
Thanks I have a few videos of it
Fender, but maybe Gibson
Both are great
@@HollywoodRareGuitars I agree
How high do you have the action on that Gibson? When I drop below 5/64 on the low E, I start getting some buzzing and note splat above the 12th fret. 5/64 is just a bit too high for me. Great guitar and tone!
@@weaponsman2057 I just lowered it a little. I go by feel. Little adjustments and use truss rod to get the neck very straight flat no bow
I got my boss 200 eq pedal working guy and I'm rocking good tonight It's always good to have a EQ equalizer it balances out the Frequencys
@@thelightstillshines2476 cool
FIRST
Yeah!
After watching a lot of JCM800 comparisons, I final get why 800 is god. To my ear 800 sounds a little thin in it's upper but has super loose bottom, that always create a certain chord or note really pleasure. I never know when I will hear that kind of pleasure. It's like listening to radio vs watching RUclips. The flexibility and dynamic makes 800 always fun and surprising.
I have a lot of 800 videos, thanks for subscribing if you are now
That sounds beautiful I have a question thou I'm trying to figure out this Boss 200 EQ 10 band EQ pedal it has a 128 Memorys slots Duo Stereo Duo, mono All I want is the manual function so I don't have to mess with all the 128 memories it has Have you ever seen one of those?
