Saw Chris Botti today 10/19/2024 @ The Cerritos Center for the performing arts and although a good enjoyable show, I must admit I was waiting for Veronica to pop out from the sidelines and do a rendition from the American Song Book, she is extraordinary.

Finally! A female jazz vocalist worth hearing since the departure of ( in no particular order) Sarah, Billie, Peggy, Ella and Lena. Botti is palatable but not to my taste…….
Not sure what I had going on when I made those comments two weeks ago, but I was wrong. Veronica Swift deserves the accolades. And she'd be even more impressive in a club setting, imo.
Japanese enka singer Aya Shimazu, who sings aretha franklin's "think," was also very impressed when she attended her concert at the Cotton Club Tokyo the other day. I would have liked to have been there myself, but due to work commitments, I was unable to make it.
She's the best in town right now. I missed her when she sang in Marciac festival in South of France, tickets sold before I had a chance. The godd fairies Ella, Billie and Sarah watched over this beautiful soul
What about my absolute favourite.... Anita Oday... to me, she's the quintessential jazz vocalist. That special voice with her unique interpretation of every song, that if I'd listened to her, with eyes closed, I would've thought, that a new instrument, had been invented, because of that voice, that fitted in so well, with the musicians. But.... that was THEN.... that era. This lovely young singer, is the new now.
OHH VERONICA ! About 20 times i watched her performances ,and she perfected the voice to become another rainbow of tunes , mamma mia , ragazza , beautiful girl she puts the seal of what jazz is all about ! It is about time to bring Veronica on a complete concert surrounded by all the greatest that had invited her to their shows ! 100 times thank you Veronica , you are wonderful professional !
Just left Chris’s concert with Veronica and other guests OMG!!! Words do not describe how FANTASTIC this concert was!! Before going I thought it would be too much trumpet for me but no , the show was multi dimensional . Just FANTASTIC!
You must have been at show in Galveston like me ! She really blew me away! Yes the whole show was very diversified! Not all Botti who was so generous to his guest artists !!

remember seeing Veronica in Napa with Chris Botti - she was mesmerizing then. Felt like the rebirth of modern day Liza Minnelli.
Thank God we still have Jazz and wonderful musicians like Veronica and Chris.
It'll take just a few years before Veronica will be on the top. Her soothing voice refreshes the tired soul.
