Why did you go with MT-90 and not MTL? Cause Redline specs MTL as the direct replacement manual trans oil for our trans...no?
I tried mtl in my fk8 and when it got warm it would still do a 1-2 shift grind. Mt90 being thicker didn’t have that issue. So when I got the fl5 I just did the same thing to get the same result :)

Lmfao, this whole video for that? To all the viewers out there, don’t struggle like this. Angle the channel locks horizontally use a small pry bar for leverage and use a shop towel to take care not to ruin paint. Pry under the channel locks while pulling up, takes 5 seconds

So, there would be no problem doing 2 cars with a coat of each
as long as you were doing them within the same day or so. the stuff hardens in the bottle fast.

Looks great! Million dollar question, do they actually do what they are intended to do given the low profile? Is anyone still experiencing excessive rock chips or can anyone confirm less rock chips because of these ACS Rock guards? Im on the fence as every video or review talks about how nice they look, which they do look really nice compared to the competition but nobody seems to talk about how well they actually function. Thoughts or feedback would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
I would say 80/20 they do as intended. but because they look the best its the ones i ordered for my new 1le! The zl1 addon ones work well but look terrible and stck out way too far! these look factory and I love them. Since i autocross as well its important to me they dont stick out tooooo far as they can get take out by cones. or cones taken out by them lol.
Any updates on catch can. Seeing people having leaks. ??
Mine had this at an autocross, but i just tighten the ends down. seemed to work from there.

I just bought a 2024 at MSRP yesterday from a dealership in New Hampshire. There are a couple of other dealerships in NH/MA that were also offering MSRP. The others were 2-3k and another dealership was 5k, but stated they were flexible on the markup.
You are so damn lucky. There are desperate idiots out there that actually pays 15k markup. They are the reason why dealers rip people off with the markups. Keywords: DESPERATE IDIOTS

If you buy it in a non spray can and use a syringe to apply it you'll get nice crisp letter edges (on raised black letters.) I haven't tried it on letters like yours. I've been using it for years on my dads truck (1998 F-150 NASCAR edition) that came with factory yellow letter tires. whenever he gets new tires I redo the yellow on them. If you put it over existing white letters the color stays and it lasts the life of the tire (80-90k miles, 7 years or so) and you can wash them like you normally wash white letters. When I tried it on a car with black letters in a couple of months the white and yellow turned brown from the stuff that leaches out of the tires constantly. If I could figure out a base coat to stop the leaching under the plastidip it would be my go to for blackwalls.

Total bullshit man, problem is if you don't pay you don't play. The type R will be gone and any opportunity is lost. Wait for used and people want msrp with 40k miles and probably beat on...
I get it! I guess what I’m trying to say is if you are going to pay a markup buy one with a reasonable markup. Anything from 8 to 10 or more I’d stay away from.

Why not? Makes the calipers easier to clean. Keeps the brake dust from sticking to the calipers

How do you like it compqred to the fk8? Also what gloves are you using?
The thing I noticed most is the fl5 doesn’t pivot as well over the front axle like the fk8 did. Now some of that could be setup with the rear bar. It definitely has a lot of grip but that could also be all the new tires out there today. It’s definitely harsher of a ride in +r. They are some alpinestar gloves. Can’t recall the model.

So i have the karger of the two karcepts bars for this car and it was only on 2/2. the cold weather definitely didnt help the tail.

@@rattaponlertpiriyapong1187 Super easy install. I have the larger of the two bars he originally offered so is larger than the one i had on my FK8. Really hard to tell since this whole weekend was cold and wet but lift off oversteer very present. some of that is me relearning fwd.

@@MLeeder53 Tire Rack stopwatch says better fit to the wheel is quicker. YMMV. They would probably pick the 255/35/18 and save 12lbs total un-sprung weight and $60. 255 would be quicker in the rain too. YMMV.

Not sure yet. Lost today to a focus rs but definitely struggled to get heat in the tires and made a few mistakes this run. Spring nats will be a good tell tail sign if it’s competitive.
