It depends on the Navi you're trying to build. But this one has BoysBomb3, which is a chase card. All there sets have staples in the form of Commons though. So if you're just getting started, I would recommend getting 1 of each set. That way you'll have play sets of key cards that work across multiple decks in this game.

Yup. You can also keep burning his Power Gauge to prevent him from getting to four Power. That’s a bit trickier, but just another way to stop him from getting to his win condition.

Exactly! Although funny enough, we do have a player who built a Blue WoodMan deck that gives him blasting abilities. It's pretty hilarious. I may cover it in a future video. 😂

Those are really solid observations! Still, I wouldn't totally discount Steamroll's ability to produce looping nightmares. That can be very demoralizing if you don't have a proper counter to it. The relief with WackoMan at least is that got nerfed the minute we got MegaMan CyberHero. 😂

Absolutely! Right now the most common counter we use is SmackDown, you wait for Bamboo to drop and give them the 1xhand, then counter w/ SmackDown on the Sal & Branched Out but that's not a guarantee. WoodMan only needs to hit the rotation once to win

That really sucks that WoodMan killed your scene. :( He certainly feels like one of those decks that end up resulting in a a ban list or some kind of intervention. It does feel like the best counters are to play Blue, Yellow or something more broken like IceMan. Game could really use a sideboard imo Because yeah, you're right that it can feel like a buzzkill going up against him. There are three official sets. However, our Discord community has created a set called "After Decipher" where they continue to release new NetNavis and cards.

Just Battle Network. Although there is a Mega Man X card they released for the game. I made a video on him a while back. There is a chance they were looking to broaden the game to include characters from other series.
