Don't bash yourself for not completing this challenge, it's a super difficult one. So far I've never had a single successful Perka-Cola run despite trying many times and having ~900 hours in the game. This challenge is highly dependent on luck. I feel like it's much easier to do with Ghost deck because you can just buy the Ankh, however on Ghost deck you can't do it with Observatory because the score requirement scales too fast - you have to do it with Cryptid if you want to survive longer One thing for a change of pace I would suggest is, try to do a infinite joker or infinite money exploit and see what shenanigans they can get you up to. If you have a negative copy of all tarot cards except for Fool and Temperance, then the Emperor is guaranteed to give you Fool and Temperance. You can use the Fool to get another Emperor, then use Temperance for money - and you can use the Emperor again for another Fool and Temperance - so this way you can get infinite Temperance money. Same with Judgement to get infinitely many Jokers (if you're willing to sit there for hours rerolling for negatives). I once tried doing a run with Perkeo, Chicot and infinite joker exploit (started with Perkeo doing the exploit, then Chicot showed up) to get Invisible jokers to copy Chicot - I was actually able to reliably get Invisible every time (though it took ~15 minutes of just doing this exploit each time), but the run eventually fell off because it took me too long to do the exploit and the scaling was getting too hard. But you can do other things with the exploit such as converting your entire deck to one card in one round (if your Emperor gives you Fool and Death) Another interesting run you can do is if you get Perkeo to copy as many Ectoplasms and Ankhs as possible (in equal portion), you can try to score naneinf in unconventional ways on Black+ stake. If you have an eternal scaling X mult joker that you can get to ~X100 (which is doable with Lucky cat, Glass joker, Canio, Yorick, Vampire, etc), if you collect ~100 Ectoplasms and ~100 Ankhs (probably even less than 100), you can use all Ankhs and Ectoplasms in one round and get many copies of those scaled X mult jokers, which should be enough for naneinf Other than that, the runs where you get a ridiculous X mult on Lucky cat or Canio could be fun, or where you slim your deck to 1 card and see how long you can survive for (good case for Observatory and Hanging Chad). Or just a long and chill run where you get as much money as possible could also be fun to do, and you can split that in many episodes and just do the same run when you have down time. I've done chill runs like these that took ~16 hours to complete, obviously over a span of multiple days when I had downtime and felt like chilling. There's a plenty of ideas and you should do whatever you feel like at the moment instead of forcing yourself to do a crazy difficult run

Yeah Sixth Sense is such a stinky joker. I like Seance in that Straight Flush is a decent hand for initial scoring on Plasma - and if you have Perkeo, you can reliably make Staright Flushes if Perkeo copies a suit changing tarot. Also you can start with Straights before going into Straight Flushes and Runner can help a lot with that initial scoring on Plasma. And if you have Seance, copying it with Blueprints / Brainstorms and getting multiple spectrals feels so much more relaxed than having to hold onto negative spectrals with Sixth Sense

This is not cheating, it just saves time. It's nice that they show a blue background though, just to make it clear Brainstorm was used

Well done! I managed to go to Ante 39 with the Chicot bug a few times in the past, and it's definitely one of the most difficult challenges in the game. There was definitely a few chances to go to Ante 39 on this run, in particular if you picked up DNA right after getting the Antimatter voucher. Also in my experience planet / tarot vouchers hurt more than help, in this case there would've been a better chance of you getting a Blueprint / Brainstorm in the shop. The usual plan I had was to reroll to a Showman in the shop, open packs for Ectoplasm, use it, get the Showman and keep rerolling the shop to Blueprint / Brainstorm - with enough money you're likely to encounter one. With this much hand size and an extra Blueprint / Brainstorm, you're chilling and can use more Ectoplasms safely and even have enough time to pick up an extra Invisible. It's a delicate balancing act, and it was enjoyable to watch someone else do it

Alright, I mention this a little bit at the end of the episode, but I think this series is gonna have to be shelved for a little bit. I just am not enjoying hunting this down anymore sadly. I’m not quitting Balatro by any means, but I am just not sure what there is left to do in Balatro in general. If you have any idea feel free to let me know in the replies here! 25:24 Was there a particular reason to reroll the photograph there? Mime and baron have massive potential but the synergy of chad and sock with photograph is so good too. Not to mention the minus hand size after ectoplasm limits the potential of baron. Not trying to backseat game I’m just wondering if I’m missing something. Could help me with future runs if I am :D Edit: ooooooh after clicking part 2 I just realized what I was missing. I forgot that the point is to get permanent extra hand size. I’ll leave this here because I don’t mind taking an L and looking like a dummy. In a normal run without chicots the photograph makes sense then.

Taking planet tycoon killed this run. Strength would've had much higher rate without it. And for those wondering, Planet Tycoon works like this: A bag of 24 cards is created (it's jokers, planet, & Tarot evenly mixed), Merchant adds 4 more planet cards & Tycoon adds another 4. So you end up with out of 32 possible cards, an extra 8 are filled by planet cards (totaling 12, so a ratio near 40%). Without Tarot Merchant & Tycoon, this means he's drawing almost dead for Tarot cards (4 out of 32 possible).
