End of year Porsche Club race - PCA AX8
This was the last autocross event of the year for the Oregon Region's Porsche club of America club.
It started out super foggy but that quickly blew away to a beautify day out racing the Audi RS5. Today's race i came in 8th overall in the RAW and 2nd in my class. That leaves me in 1st place for the season standings in All Wheel Drive Stock class.
Its been another great year racing with the Porsche club and I look forward to next year.

Porsche Club Autocross 7, Maintaining my season points lead
Просмотров 14014 дней назад
This was the second to last Oregon Porsche Club event of the year and it was a rather routine event until a Corvette C8 Z06 crashed into a concrete barrier. I'm glad that no one was hurt and this is a good reminder to keep up your situational awareness when you are at a car event. Cars can be fixed and replaced much easier than a person. My driving wasn't as consistent as it normally is. My fir...

Regarding Polar Moment of Inertia: I think since you have a front mounted engine car, the positioning of your oil reservoir is going to move your center of gravity closer to the center of the car which should help with understeer. I think there could be some issues if you don't fill the oil reservoir all the way as the oil moves around. One way you could reduce the amount of oil you would need to carry is by putting something light in the reservoir to take up space. That something needs to be able to be inserted through the top lid but not block any of the other ports.

I looked at the Frontier and it was cheaper but we didn't like the way it looked and we needed a long bed. The real vehicle we wanted was a Porsche Macan GTS but didn't want a $90+k work vehicle so the $50k Tacoma was cheap by comparison.

@@oisforoffroad Nice. I had a 3rd gen trd off road 4x4 and sold it after a year. What a horrible vehicle that was.
