I haven’t seen other free versions? But for people who want to convert photos easily and don’t know how to manually trace, I think it’s a great app. Saves a lot of time too ☺️

Agreed, but this takes 2 minutes, where it will take much longer to manually trace your designs ☺️ Also you can combine these and finish up the details in Procreate or somewhere else, like I explained with the house I drew 👌

@@Galaxy_cupcakes Depends what you’re making. I primarily use Procreate to create realistic looking line art, that can later be used for laser engraving or 3D layered cutting (I made all my layered flowers this way). I’ve had a lot of questions about how to do it in my FB groups, which is why I’m preparing these Procreate tutorials

I personally dont use procreate so ig this mostly only applies to procreate users but i see where youre coming from

@@Ak-iia In the laser world, tracing has another meaning, which is why I refer to it as drawing. This is how beginners can easily draw their own clipart instead of tracing other artists work in our laser software

Seems like we’re from different niches, so I’ll just agree to disagree 😉 Pressing a button in Lightburn = tracing. Holding a pen in your hand = drawing

Definitely would, but then you would probably have to mask to prevent scorch marks and flashback. So personally I prefer to just paint afterwards, since I never mask anything

Teachers Gum 😅 That’s what we called it in Denmark, but I’m not really sure what it is actually called. It’s this bubble gum looking adhesive that many teachers use to stick drawings etc. to the wall

You’re welcome ☺️ I love using cut shapes, especially for my single line designs! I know, but I really think the deformation is easier than the node editing, when you’re “shaping” and then node edit the finer details afterwards 👌
