Titan Quest: Ragnarok. Secret Passage(L), Brigand-caster.
This game was stuck in the middle, ibm 286, 624 kb memory, so I couldn't close it 30 years ago. 🤕
Got this in a Sierra games collection that I bought with my own money when I was in 3rd grade. I'm 42 now and really want to go back and stream this live to see if I can finally beat it.
You are the chosen one to end the world destruction yet they charge you for everything!
I swear nobody knows about this game. I grew up with this and never have I met someone else who has played it. To me, it was basically Zelda 2 except way better.
I love how exotic is the Spanish
GREAT UPLOAD MAN! AWSOME WONDER OF THE WORLD (Y)
How do i get this game in my mobile
Ah, such nostalgia. I remember i got this with my first PC. I bought it used and it came with a whole box of floppy disks with random games on them. I remember that even back then I was surprised this masterpiece fit on a single one. Even today I'm amazed the music still holds up so well. Also, having experienced all sorts of wacky translations over the years, this one is actually really well localized. This was the age of "all your base", after all.
its great game it was on my old all in one computer it at had 30 meg hard drive it died few years ago
When I first saw and played Diablo 1 at a Netcafe, we were like "WOAH, it's like an isometric version of Zeliard!". This game rocked hard.
It's the awesome music that sticks out the most. Would love to play this again.
If they ever remake this game, they better give you the option to use the old soundtrack.
Loved this game back in the day on an XT clone with CGA and a simple PC speaker. :)))
Same experience here :) Played it on an old soviet computer. Even 8086 machine was enough to run this game well.
i've spent an eternity trying to remember this game! tried all sorts of keywords but could never get this to show up on google
@Anarki i couldnt imagine doing a longplay in 2 hours lol good job, btw i'm going too post the custom FM portion of my remake just for you
It's up, btw , i'm making a even better version with 2 x2 YMF262 layers and 2 x2 YM2608 layers with x2 PCM ontop of the dual MIDI's for the ZELIARD ULTIMATE REMAKE 'SPECIAL EDITION'
Game Arts seemed to have a special love for Falcom. They even had a little Adol NPC in the original Lunar.
Thank you for this! Ah, my childhood...
This game looks like a lot of fun. I'll have to try to track down a copy.
I think this game still available to play via browser on The Internet Archive website. This is how this recording was made in the first place. Just Google Chrome & OBS.
@@AnarkiBunny Ah, gotcha! That explains why it looks to run so well. I'm going to grab it and try to run it on real hardware and see how that goes. Worst case, I resort to DOSbox or the Internet Archive's emulator.
This game has a bunch of pseudo-Christian references, with crosses and many mentions of "The Holy Spirit"; strange. (It also takes a shot at fundamental Christians, though I've lost the timestamp for it: The dialogue is something like "The spirits are of the devil; you are fighting for the devil!")
1:37:00 -- Epilepsy Alert!
Asbestos Cape.... Cringe!
Cool music in this game. I wish I had this growing up. I would have loved it and spent a lot of time playing it and trying to figure everything out. They didnt make many games like this for Nintendo, especially stuff that left Japan. And it was available to me too and i didnt know it. Sierra localized it.
The banker was always hilarious. Oops! You did it at 5k where he changes from being grumpy about the low amount to so thankful for the higher deposit lol. Loved this game as a kid - the music was actually so creative. Played it and it somewhat reminded me of Faxanadu on the old NES too. But this was a great game. That fire level was bonkers though... there was a level you had to memorize there with the heat gusts that took forever for me to figure out. And back then there was no internet, just an 800 number for help on the game. Crazy to think video games had that!
This game was too hard. I can’t even get passed level 5!
haha my dad and i took turns grinded so hard on this game
What about sword of Fire Flame? I see you killed Jashiin with sword of Illusions?
No, it was the Sword of the Fairy Flame. I sold my Illumination Sword after obtaining the Lion's head key. And then proceeded to the treasure cave 1:38:25. Also 1:47:15 you can see me trying to sell the FF sword to the blacksmith, but he only offers me 2 gold for it.
i played this since i was 10 now im 41 .......i still could never complete it .... thanks so much for completing it and putting it up so i can atleast watch the ending... i recall on my own i could only get to the ice boots stage but i couldnt figure out how to get to the next stage , mindlessly roaming the caverns, but some how at one stage i remember a shoe that could climb slope i just could not recall if i ever got it. i think the max i ever got was 6 or 7 gems
someone plz remake this game
I was so young when I played this. I miss my childhood
used to play this with my mom when i was a kid, even had a pack of maps from the Sierra devs after we wrote them. The music is not how i remember it, it wasn't synthesized, much more high pitched.
Thanks for sharing your story :) Surely that's some impressive level of feedback from devs. High-pitch music means that you've played it on PC speaker mode (simplest of sound modes). Since this game was capable of running on early 80's computers it supports many graphical and sound modes.
@@AnarkiBunny yes, we played on a, now ancient, IBM PS/1 which ran on Dos, lol The devs had sent a letter back with it, ecstatic that we had written to them.
King Graham ain't got nothing on this guy. And neither does King Arthur. Or Devon edendale.
Or Robin hood!
The days of dragon slayers and great heroes like Duke Garland, are gone now. All that remains are the aforementioned. And many others for years to come.
I say that because the characters in the Sierra online adventure games are weak as hell
Thank you sir.
"Please, come again." I love this girl.
Was this updated somehow from the 1987 version?
There are two different versions of this game. The one that was originally released for japanese PC-88 computer in 1987, and in 1990 it was ported to DOS and also localized in English for western audience. For this video i've played the DOS version(emulated via DOSBox) which is little different from original japanese release. Some mechanics were improved, such as more friendly savegame mechanics or ability to change the game speed. In other hand some stuff were messed up, with example of "Kioku Feather" item, which can be used to instantly teleport you to the last Sage that player talk with (in japanese version), but in the DOS-version it's bugged and teleport you to the very first Sage in the starting town: 1:15:00 There are minor difference in some other mechanics, such as different weapon damage formula, enemies drop less souls(Almas) in japanese version, and some other moments making orinigal PC-88 version little bit harder. And as far as i know there was no other versions since 1990.
Thank you....for this video... I remember spending a whole year to finish it. So much fun!!!!!!
This was such a cool game but now I see that I didn't pass 1/3 of the game. Levels were too complicated, I felt like I was in a labyrinth
Maps are indeed very maze-like from 3rd level (forest) onward. However, the game came with paper maps which help a lot. I had a pirated version of the game as a kid and played it a lot, but never finished it until Internet and Google came along which allowed me to look up the maps.
Did Duke f#cked princess?
I just want to know how have you changed resolution, I have tried so many ways and it didn't work.
Are you using DOSBox? I have played it via DOSBox in full-screen mode. Sometimes DOSBox may conflict with other apps not allowing it to go full screen, so it may require you to close other open programms first.
Hi there, it's been a while. I've adjusted resolution to fit my screen better even tho it's 16:10 aspect ratio game and my screen is 16:9, but it is good enough. I even managed to download it to my phone, so now I'm playing it on android with emulator.
I love this game
We need the 2022 sequel
i can do it but i fear the lawsuits
I ground this game *hard* as a kid - it's sorta breaking my brain that you're able to speed run through it like that!
Reading the comments I feel even prouder of playing this with my two brothers and finishing it together, I must have been 9. We were shrieking and clapping etc etc whet a game and a lovely time :)
I'm curious what level took most of the time to beat it? :D I remember completing the last cavern almost by accident.
This game took me 20 years to beat. Really. I finisihed it in DOSBOX. I started when I was 8 years old, finished when I was 25 maybe.
Same thing happened to me with Double Dragon on NES and Swords & Serpents for NES. :)
In my case it's going to be 31 years 🤣
Let's be honest... Magia Stone and you are good to go xD
