It's uncanny how Roger and Mikey's build and playing style are so similar, both so fast and elusive and full of natural talent and both so determined to win everygame. They were both told they were to small to play the game. Roger definitely proved them wrong and Mikey is doing exactly the same. I can not think of any other player who could take over the iconic number 6 shirt other than Mikey Lewis. I know he will be honoured to wear it and I also know he will do it justice. Roger will definitely be looking down, smiling and giving his approval. Carol Millward is such a lovely and modest lady, you can see the love and pride in her eyes, indeed in her whole face when she talks about her late husband. I do believe Mikey reminds her of Roger and she is also pleased and proud that it is Mikey who is taking over the number 6 shirt. Lets hope Mikey can replicate what Roger did with the Robins in1980 wearing his number 6. I believe it is an omen that they are so similar in so many ways and if not in 2025, it will not be long before Hull K.R and Mikey win the Super league and also pick up a cup at wembley or Old trafford 😉 Come On Ye Reds, Rovers till I die, "just like Roger was" God bless him and his family. 🙏🙏

He is a powerful uncompromising beast on the field and an exceptional gentleman off it. Every Roosters supporter will miss him; he was just as effective in 2024 as he was in 2010. Im gutted he has gone but i know he will give everything he has at Hull KR and wish him and his wonderful family all the best
