I like the redone summit shot at 5:47. I like those kinds of landscape shots in general, and the color and depth of field really stand out. Although I do also like sunlit tree at 9:08. I think those kinds of spontaneous shots make the journey feel more rewarding.

Waterfall also catched my eye, but for a different reason - that sunspot is smth else! Would've been so cool if you could've zoom on this sunspot and took a shot, or even better tried to get below it and catch the sunspot in foreground and water in the back. Other shots are good, my man, keep up the awesome work!

I like the diagonal on the waterfall - to my eye it doesn't need to "lead" to anything at all, it creates a cool divided compositon on its own

Ahhh! I’ve been locked in the hot car! You didn’t roll down the windows or leave me water or anything. I at least want my favorite toy, blast it. But in answer to your question, I like the voice over style of this one. I feel like the video itself jittered though whenever you took a step (more noticeable in some segments than others). However, I liked that the “message” of the video was more… holistic? Reflective? I’m not sure what word I’m looking for. Hopefully you get the gist.

I know it’s not quite the same, but I sometimes think about all the money I’ve spent on trading cards where the vast majority don’t see any play. Spending money on a hobby is going to happen. Or if you prefer this comparison, think of all the artists that get paint or colored pencils for their craft. They spend money to make something good for their standards as a general part of art making. Same thing here. (Although I know the money involved in the tech for a camera probably is difficult to compare to cards or colored pencils.)

You should build up the next 2 tallest mountains so they get up to 50 too.

“My mother and like 3 other people.” Me, who gave the 4th like: Oh hey! That’s me! I must be 1 of the 3 other people! I got included in the video! But on a serious note, I do find these relaxing. They are a nice break from an otherwise busy day at work inside. Even if they are mostly for you.

Nice shots! I'm gonna have to try to replicate the one where the single patch of leaves stands out against what otherwise appears to be night, that's a cool effect

Knowing your limits is important. But I also remember going to the Grand Canyon in middle school. A very obvious “stay on the trail” sign. And my dad going a few feet beyond it for a photo. My mom was obviously worried. Anyway, years later, when he got close to an edge for another shot around Bar Harbor, I grabbed a quick photo of him and standing at the edge for the shot. Very dangerous devices indeed.
