    Thank you! I do find my thoughts to be scattered and mostly I am just unable to retrieve or formulate thoughts of my own and articulate them. I believe that is because I dont write things down and I watch things mostly on double speed or at least 1.5x(would also like to hear your thoughts on this). We all should write to reflect and to formulate our thoughts.

    • @pavan-sci-history
      @pavan-sci-history Месяц назад

      From my experience, I find writing things down, especially while trying to formulate or understand a new idea, is very beneficial. In writing by hand, one need not be linear in the way we express our thoughts, and that is how most thoughts are...nonlinear. Only at the later stage of writing we commit to making it linear for others to read and understand. Regarding watching/listening high speed, I think what matter is the info that you consume...most of the info we watch or listen is not registered...it is momentarily.... I have tried make notes while listening to podcast. That is not the same as reading slowly and noting things down... there are so many things and ways to explore...

    I'm curious to know the optical power used in the experiments of Raman. The stokes and anti stokes wave sounded almost like a four wave mixing process that originates from the Kerr effect.

    • @pavan-sci-history
      @pavan-sci-history Месяц назад

      very nominal powers for that time, don't have the number thought...in fact, they filtered the sunlight.. You are right...the effect is similar to other nonlinear processes such as the Kerr effect..in fact as soon as powerful lasers emerged in the 1960s, stimulated Raman and Kerr effects were also observed...
