The day after the break, repairs to the pipe done, hole MOSTLY filled in. more fill dirt should be delivered by the city after it has settled some. I was TOLD that the. city will repair the sidewalk. We shall see.

Thank you for this. Had i made these kinds of videos showing peolle the absolute ridiculous situations that one has to deal with during repairs id likely have millions of followers because it said as thought Murphy followed me on every single solotary automotive repair I've done in the nearly 30 years I've been doing this. I would be THE source for all content warning folks of what not to do and what to watch out for 😂😂🤦🏻♂️. Once again, thank you for this. It helps the mental preapration-H 😁😉

One of the pipes that brings water to the neighborhood passes through my yard. It broke. It forced water up through the ground and lifted my sidewalk. The city came to repair it, but they had to dig it up to do that. It took a few months, but they have finally come back to fill it in. My sidewalk is still broken though.

This vid might be better if you clearly showed the sequence in which things are hooked up. It just looks like a scramble of wires with no instruction as to what comes first....

That's why you take the entire case out (so that you can access the valve). Problem usually is, the nuts on the suction and discharge are didimilar metals and sometimes seize, causing replacement fo the evaporator and/or the lines :(
I really thought anyone who knows me would know I wasn't ACTUALLY stoned while doing this. But I guess it needs clarification for a couple of people. LOL.

Correction. It turns out that that stud was just a double ended screw. Just like a furniture stud. Machine threads on one end, coarse screw threads on the other. The only difference is the built in shoulder washer in the middle. In fact, if I had only kept turning another 1/4 turn, it would have come right out. So, DO NOT cut the stud off. If the nut gets stuck, just keep turning. It will back out of the plastic, and you can just screw it right back in when you are done. If I had only known then what I know now... I may just totally redo this video when we do my buddy's. Same year model. If I do I will get into the removal of the expansion valve from the evaporator. It was a serious pain, and I strongly recommend a vise attached to a heavy table, along with long handled wrenches.

Sorry it took me so long to see your question. Hopefully you have already solved your problem. If not, the little white tabs inside the ends of the heater hose are what hold the thing on. Supposedly, just squeezing the ends of those tabs will release them. You've probably already tried that. It didn't work, did it. There is a tool. Part #OTC6046. It is very similar to the A/C and fuel line disconnect tools. But the collar is deeper. Getting it between the connection and the body panel is a really tight fit. But it worked. BTW, be sure to read the correction. I learned after I posted this video that that last part was totally unnecessary.
