Kick forwards. Pass back. A Try (touchdown) is awarded for grounding the ball in the Try Zone. End Zone. It’s worth 5 points. A Raise Try is worth a further 2 points. When after the Try a kick is taken from a place in line with where the Try was scored. It has to go through the goal posts. A successful Drop Kick (through the goalposts) is worth 3 points. A Penalty Try is worth 5 points and a Raise Try (2 points). If that helps.

You should have done a tiny bit of research about the rules of the game so you can understand what you are looking at instead of complaining that you don't know what is going on ... .and btw fighting is rare and may happen as a flare up when a player does an illegal move, like a shoulder charge or head high hit and hurts another player. If a player punches anyone, he gets sent off the field. Bleeding is immediately controlled, and a player may go off for stitches before resuming play. It is not the Roman coliseum...lol. Touch in rugby has a different origin. It relates to out of bounds, where the ball is dead if it, or a player in contact with it, touches the ground on the sideline (touchline) or over it.

Touchdown makes more sense for rugby. ‘Try’ comes from over 100years ago, when no points were awarded for the touchdown but it earned you a chance to try to kick a goal.

They ate superfit athletes and they take a lot knocks and bumps. This is only one aspect of the game.

The square is used when the defensive team brings the ball back into the game. It has no roll in scoring. The ball can go through the goal from anywhere, any way so long as it came off an offensive teams boot and wasn't touched by any other player.

A few things boys---no forward passes, no blocking, when a try is scored the idea is to get as close to the posts as possible, this gives the guy trying to kick the conversion a better angle to take the kick from, unlike NFL not all kicks are central to the posts after a touchdown

Guys, read up on the rules of rugby. You can only pass behind you. Touch down is called a TRY. If you loose the ball forward, the other team takes possession. Have a look at "Cheslin Kolbe" the ultimate athlete.

i remember around 20 years ago a NFL team came to the uk to play a double header 1 game rugby union the second game was to be NFL after getting absolutely battered in rugby union they refused to play the second game 7 days later and took all there padding and cried off back to the usa Rugby is a game for real men
