I for 1 still remember back in 2020 for the 75th anniversary that yes it wasn't all great and what fans wanted but for me it still had it's moments. And not to mention that Thomas And The Royal Engine was written by Michael White/Whitehouse Films a fellow fan who writes for the show. And having him being a writer for the show was without a doubt the best thing to come out of the BWBA era. I honestly don't care about All Engines Go. CGI Thomas & Friends could've had so much great potential.

The thing I hate most about all engines go is they took an intelligent show that was clearly designed to turn children into adults and instead they turned it into a babysitting show that is designed to keep children as children and make them Dumber in the process

I mean, while it’s absolutely ridiculous, I actually kind of appreciate the flying Scotsman line. We have to remember that this is simply a kids show now. Things won’t make much sense, and I think it’s time we stop whining about it. It isn’t for us anymore, and there isn’t anything wrong with that. Things evolve (or “devolve”), and there’s nothing we can do about it. It’s not like the show is mindless slop either. I’d much rather my future children watch AEG than Cailou.

My guess is that either Toby didn’t say “What in the name of Awdry…” because the writers knew this remake would have viscerally disgusted him, or this show lives with the delusion that it can appeal to older fans (Flying Scotsman may be a legend, but he’s not a DEITY).
