The shoulder belt is making contact with his neck, the lap belt is across the soft tissue of his abdomen and not across his hips.
He cannot sit still, brings his legs up, leans forward and ultimately unclips the buckle and escapes from the seat. As you can see my 5yo is playing around in the back seat also. She helps him to unbuckle the seat belt. She too isn’t high back booster ready. She does the same behaviour as my 3.5yo and cannot be trusted to sit up straight, legs down, bum to back and not play with the belt.
