Rewatching this episode is fascinating because the signs are there at the beginning. Lindy blocks the Doctor immediately but talks to Ruby even though she’s annoyed. Lindy is shocked and disgusted that the Doctor and Ruby are in the same room. Things like that. Also, I think Ricky September was as racist as everyone else. When the Doctor tells him how to operate the lock he’s very dismissive of him like “I don’t need someone like you to tell me how to operate a lock”.

I want to watch it so bad but it's not released in my country

Hey Yutaka, I just got home awhile ago from watching this film. There were about five people in the theatre besides myself, which was light for a Friday, 7:15pm showing, but I think everyone was enjoying the movie. There were some audible responses to some of the kill scenes, and a few were coming from me. I'm not sure if you've seen it, but there's a slasher from '85 or '86 that this one reminded me of, called "The Mutilator". And I agree with you about the pointlessness of that final monologue. That scene provided just about the only suspense in the movie, because you're wondering if that character is going to do something crazy. While I didn't love the movie, I enjoyed it, and I will be watching it again when it hits Shudder.

I haven't heard about this film before but i thought your review gave a great snapshot into what it was about coming in totally blind. This is something i will add to my list. I think the prespective is very interesting and enough to warrant me checking it out. Great review. I think its great that you highlight indie films or smaller films people may not know about.

I didn’t even know anything about this movie until recently. I trust your opinion on this and think I’ll pass. Also, this was two views because I watched it on my tv and then let it run on my phone so I could drop a comment!

This definitely sounds interesting. After this I went and watched the trailer which looks good, and one of the stars is Haley Erin from two of my favorite soap operas, General Hospital and The Young and the Restless. I will definitely check this one out

I wasn't expecting much, but I don't think I'll be checking this one out for a while. It sucks that these streaming companies keep taking expensive risks when they so easily cancel things that cost less money, that were far better quality. Thanks for the review, Yutaka.

I was hesitant to watch because I thought having an American character would make the show phony but I was blown away from episode 1. The show was REALLY well done. Kudos to Ansel too for learning Japanese. 👍🏻

Yutaka! I am so excited to see you interview them. This film has absolutely blown my mind. Soooooo freaking good! It was giving me Hitchcock had a baby with The Twilight Zone. I tend to love my horror gory and bloody, and you really gotta stick me with a slower burn and....I can't even call it slow burn because I was hooked from the first shot! Great interview!!! I have been wanting to talk about some of the more grey areas within the film, so much to take in!
