Thanks. You actually have the wrong pvc coupler listed. You want the 3", not the 4" Pipes are measure inside diameter. www.homedepot.com/p/NIBCO-3-in-PVC-DWV-Hub-x-Hub-Coupling-Fitting-C4801HD3/100343559

Hi Nhat Phan, thank you for such a great idea. I am looking to make similar filter holder for Samyang 14mm f/2.8. The diameter of the lens hood (which is fixed and cannot be removed) is around 86-87mm. I see the filter ring you used here is also 86mm and thought can be used the same filter ring. Do you thing this filter ring will fit into my lens? And also what was the diameter of the lens hood for your lens? Thank you so much.

You are my HERO! This money-saving project is a GodSend -- I had NO MONEY left after buying this 7-14mm Pro lens - Ha. Perfect solution. THANK you so much!

Firstly you need to lose the music, we can hardly hear what you are saying because of it. What is the piece of plastic pipe you start off with? Sounds like "CDC coupler"? What is that?

Great post and handy work. Am I right in assuming if you want to use Polariser you can connect to 86mm thread?

While I have not tried the polarize filter, you can certainly fit what works for Lee holder on this setup. Good luck!

Really good work ! I cloud not hear what was your solution for the vignetting issue at the end of the video. You cut witch part of the filter holder ?

I removed 1 of the layers from the side holder.

Thanks for the idea. How thick is your pvc coupling? I bought a 4" diameter with 0.24" wall thickness... Will it work you think? Anyways, I've bought the Zomei 86mm filter holder and will see...

Mine was about 1/4" thick. It's not a critical dimension. As long as the lens hood can fit inside, you will be fine. Good luck.

Thank you very much Nhat! :) I was looking at those guys who've 3d printed and selling their product, for so expensive price. I'm a student and can't afford to buy them, as i have to buy a new 100mm filter and etc. Your solution is great and cost effective for people like me. :) Thanks again.
