Arthropleura (Greek for 'jointed ribs') is a genus of massive millipedes that lived in what is now North America and Europe around 345 to 290 million years ago,[1][2] from the Viséan stage of the lower Carboniferous Period to the Sakmarian stage of the lower Permian Period.[1][3] The species of the genus are the largest known land invertebrates of all time, and would have had few, if any, predators.

Dang wish it was still alive,these carbaniferous Millipedes were so fascinating!(yes they are related closer to Millipedes than centipedes)i would've loved to study one,and the greatest thing is,is that they are completely harmless!Arthropleura was probably a detritivore that usually ate decomposing plant matter or animal remains,but this is no known for certain because arthropluera is very hard to study(bc we only have fossils) but we can conclude this gentle giant probably has the same nature as its smaller relative Millipede cousins
