Little Nuts is a wild SoCal fox squirrel born approx 11/22. We have breakfast at sunrise every day accompanied by her friends and family old and new.

From October 29th 2024
Squirrel Baby Grand Nuts is the first granddaughter of Little Nuts. At the time of this recording she was finding her place in and around the Breakfast Trees. She would eventually build her nest for the winter adding onto one of the nests built by her grandma Little Nuts two years prior.
As of this video being published Baby Grand Nuts is still the same nest. She visits the VIP Sky patio multiple time daily. Time will tell if she stays after winter or will leave on a summer adventure.

Very cute! I have a pine tree next to my apartment balcony and I get company sometimes. I started putting food/water out for them. They really love the sunflower seeds! They do not interact with me, but they are still a pleasant sight through my glass balcony door.

Who does her nails? They're lovely.
She had a little clumsy moment there. Very cute.
Do they prefer unshelled nuts? My neighborhood squirrels run off with a whole nut, but will hang around to get more immediately if I just give them half a little pea from inside a peanut.
@@douglascook258 when they get in shell nuts it’s a grab and run. But out of shell it’s stay and eat. I only ever have in shell nuts in bulk for winter so they can stock up for the rain and cold.

@@julieharris416 locally yes. The winter time especially. Babies also help keep the nest warm. It’s like a living radiator keeping the house warm while mom is out working.

My neighborhood has it and I think the squirrels get into my attic at night. Not good.
@@loisfolk5492 our local Squirrels will only nest in trees. Can’t speak for any others. Here in SoCal possums and raccoons are the culprits for attic noise. Sometimes birds.

@ you can try an ultrasonic device and put that in the attic. People can’t hear it but animals can.
