IFC Fraternity Life at LSU
Greek Life has been on LSU’s campus for over 150 years, making it one of the most respected Greek communities in the country.
There are over 5,000 Greek students at LSU, with nearly 2,000 men belonging to an IFC fraternity.

They're literally all white....
That’s because there are 3 councils...while IFC and PHC are not exclusive to any race, the NPHC is exclusively African American and they have entirely different recruitment processes and traditions which traditionally draw larger groups of American Americans, therefore making the appeal of IFC or even PHC to the African American communities not as desirable. That structure is national and not specific to LSU. IFC and PHC consistently make efforts to represent all ethnicities and demographics but the draw of the NPHC fraternities and sororities is becoming rich in tradition and draw so the separation will likely not go away.
