      Oh yes, you don't want to try the bonus tip if he's not in a crib. Instead you'll need to decide if you want to work on transitioning him into a crib/pack n play, or go in to try soothing him back to sleep after a short nap, or just accept the short naps! Hope that helps!

    BUT HOW DO YOU FIX REVERSE CYCLING WHEN THEY REFUSE TO EAT DURING THE DAY AND WONT SLEEP WITHOUT FEEDING?? And they’re only 3 months old??? My baby went from a predictable 2 feeds a night to 4 feeds a night and counting and she will NOT eat during the day no matter how much I try to force her

    • @allthesleeps
      @allthesleeps 8 месяцев назад

      It could be a feeding aversion, in which case you'll want to work with a feeding specialist. Or it could simply be a habit that needs to be addressed. This may look like gradually feeding less ounces overall at night to help the baby be more motivated and hungry during the day when we want them eating a bulk of their calories.

  • @biancayllanes85
    @biancayllanes85 8 месяцев назад

    I made the mistake of increasing night feeding the past 3 nights because she will just not soothe without eating. I pause before getting her from her crib, attempt to shh and pat, rock the crib, increase white noise, pick up and put down, after 1hr of crying I give in and feed. Any way we can go back down in the soothing ladder? Maybe feeding for less time during feeds that are not "her norm"?

    • @allthesleeps
      @allthesleeps 10 месяцев назад

      Sometimes it can get better naturally- yes! But I also work with families all the time who kept waiting for it to get better and it never did until they got to the root issue (9 month olds, 3 year olds, 6 year olds, etc.) So if you don't mind playing the waiting game and you want to see what happens and if it gets better naturally, you absolutely can! I hope that helps!

    My baby took long naps (up to 3hrs once a day sometimes!) When a newbirn but around 13 weeks she suddenly would only sleep 30-45mins. However, this also correlated with sleeping longer through the night. Now at 15 weeks we're regressing and she's sleeping less during the day *and* waking up more at night, so we're struggle-busing a bit here haha (which is why I'm here). I need to transition her from being swaddled, and falling asleep on her own, but it just seems too much with all the sudden changes she's going through.
