Good work I Like the New Intro
Thanks. I have been trying to find the time to put it together. I finally got it done.
It's Never Easy But is Usually Worth the Effort
It definitely will be. Especially since it will be headed to St. George when done with heavier traffic.
It's Never Easy is it?
No it isn't. Hopefully some of the next steps go smoothly so we can finish this car this year.
Good Progress Things are coming along Nicely
Thanks. It is a slow process but we will get it.
QUESTION….I Have an 67 Chevelle that I want to install a one piece gasket on the oil pan. Because the crossmember is in the way from dropping the pan is it not possible to work the gasket around the outside of the pan? I see in your video you push the gasket through the pan past the oil pump. Any thoughts on working the gasket around the outside of the pan…? Any thoughts would be appreciated thank you.
I would think as long as you can get your hand in there to guide it around the oil pickup and crankshaft you should be able to.
@@kamasklassics I’m talking about passing the gasket around the outside of the pan not through the pan. Ever heard of that?
I don't think that would work with a 1 piece. I think it would tear. They are sort of formed with metal insert but the metal is not one piece. I don't think it would be flexible enough to spread around.
It is an innovative thought. You should try making a video on that. 😮😊
442 is Progressing Nicely Tnx for sharing the ride too
You are welcome. It is coming along pretty well.
Dang I was really hoping that this video would show our vehicles. We were that green truck to the green Challenger right next to that last car that you showed the Camaro. We had those five cars
We wished we could have as well. Our Camera froze up and just as we got it fixed they began handing out awards.
@@kamasklassics that sucks. But at least you tried
Thanks for taking us along "Due to Technical Difficulties Beyond our Control"
You are all welcome. Hopefully we can do better next time.
Looking forward to when you Figure it out which I am Confident you will
I think once the engine and transmission get installed it will settle out and sit how it should.
The mobil 1 doesn't meet spec if that means anything to you...i will use oil that meets spec for sure during the warranty period. You can get a mopar filter from genos garage for 62 bucks. Also, not gonna use something that doesnt meet specs while still having warranty...maybe that's just me!!
2022 requires API SP standard. Mobil 1 5w40 European Spec full synthetic does meet or exceed that standard according to their website and I believe it is on their bottles.
As Always Thanks for taking us along
You are welcome. It is our pleasure to bring it to you.
Thanx for Taking us along Ford and I tend to share your taste
You definitely are welcome.
my local dealer charges $315.00 for a ecodiesel oil change
And that is way too much for an oil change for a passenger vehicle. It seems like they said let's see how can we make this more expensive and then engineered it.
Replacing All the Wiring may not be cheap & it is Time consuming But its will definitely save you hours of frustration in the future PS I remember when GM Division Engines were all Different
With the Firebird we started down that rabbit hole of chasing wires. It had been cut and spliced and was a major mess. I said let's rewire the whole thing. It took us about 2 weeks with nights and weekends but we haven't had to mess with it since after 11 years.
SO, Rookie (or Dumb) Question Why not just use the Whole New Floorpan ? Too Much Work?
With it being a unibody car, we would have had to do a lot of bracing since the floor is a lot of structure. Also, doing the pieces we needed we finished in about 12 hours. Had we done the whole floor, we would have been 40 hours at least very easily. Last, the original metal is thicker, so retaining as much good metal as we could was a benefit.
@@kamasklassics Thank You
Good job if I attempted that I'd end up Bleeding and have Non-Family Friendly comments
Dad did have bleeding but that is basically everything we do.
We have a saying in our family “if you haven’t Bled you haven’t really worked”

Thanks. There are a few things we have learned so the next one will be even better. Mainly with paint prep.

Nice. We are going to try and bring the firebird.
Glad to see you back !!!
Thanks. It is good to be back
Any videos on how to check the logs for why My car was stalling out while driving, then it starts up again but runs rough for a few mins then is ok. Seems like a fuel constraint maybe or something with my Sniper.
Hopefully I can update using my MacBook Pro?
Hola. Do you have any ideas why I don't have spark? Everything works,I have rpm. The white wire has a power distributor rotate. I think it is the ecu.
Thanks for Taking "us" to another Car Show Congrats to you & Jenna The VW "Thing" was based on the WW2 German Kubelwagen
Thank you. We certainly enjoy attending them when we can.
I hate to be a hater. But compared to the holly video. This was a joke. Plus this video is from 8 mouths ago. Your not even Uploading the 2.0 and 10 mouths ago they came out with 3.0. For those that found this helpful bully for you.For those that didn't just go to the holly site. I've never even turned a laptop on before and it was simple for me. Why am I here? Wondering if I had to resave and rename tune to go from 2.0 to 3.0
Sadly i have one of these pos trucks. Had no idea about the issues they hace until well after i had it a while. Bad crankshafts, main bearings spinning...... Mine is a 22, got it in April 2023 new (that should have told me something), and its not my daily driver. I have a small car i drive to work. Truck now has just over 3500 miles and i got 4 free oil changes when i bought it. Dealer says oil change intervals are 10k miles. I laughed. Not on my truck. Not with the known issues. 3000-3400 max. Thankfully i have those freebies because as of today an avg oil change is just under $200 if i do it myself. Ridiculous.
nice video. However, made the classic mistake regarding the oil filter. Canister oil filters that are on top, should ALWAYS be removed or loosened first, before draining the oil pan. Because all the oil from the filter housing has an anti-drain feature (eliminating dry starts). Once you loosen and remove ALL the oil in that line drains into the pan.
Why didn't you save your most current tune off the sniper before pulling you card out? If you install the update it will write over you current tune, I saw you had a sniper file but that wasn't the most current file that would have been in your sniper.
You have to have discipline and put the tools back after each job. Even if you're going to use them again, but you create the habit of putting them back.
That is a good point.
Best place I've found for that stupid filter is diesel filters online, a place in New Jersey. 66 bucks shipped, about half what the dealer here wanted. Very aggravating that two part filter that costs likely less than 10 dollars to make is 120 bucks at the dealer. Does the 5W40 Mobile One you used meet the MS12991/API SP standards? It is not on the list I have. Just wondering.
According to the mobile 1 website it meets or exceeds API SP. I have been happy with the filters I bought off Amazon. 3 for around $50. Side by side it looked the exact same as the Mopar one other than the Mopar logo. Probably made at the exact same factory in China as that is where the Mopar ones are made as well.
@@kamasklassics I've used the 5W30 full synthetic mobile 1 in my SRT4 since it was brand new, with some pretty hard driving, it's never failed me.
I'm late to the "Show" But I Always Appreciate you taking us along to Car Shows
You are welcome.
Hi. It seems you only updated the firmware on the handheld but not on the ECU. According to the instructions, after you update and reboot the handheld you should navigate to the ECU HW/FW button and upgrade the ECU... Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Starting at about 6:30 ot ran the ECU update.
Hi Kamas , how you rate the filter ?
I am on my second one and no complaints. Some reviews claimed O Ring issues but I have not seen that.
hanks Kamas , in fact I just gave my new 2022 limited Eco , I found your video great I already share it to my friends in my area there is few RAM Eco diesel the most are benzene @@kamasklassics
What headers are you using ? Thanks !!
They were some cheaper ones we found on ebay. I wouldn't recommend them as they did not fit well. We had to massage them quite a bit to get them to fit in the car they said they were to fit.
I'm about your dad's age and all I know you two have very good taste. I have several cars and yes you two have really good taste!!!!!!!!!
Thank you. We noticed when we started to put this video together it was a little truck heavy but those are what stood out at this show.
Looks like a C-clamp 😮
It is basically a c clamp but is heavy duty for pressing out ball joints.
Air hammer, literally 1 seconds a stud
1 second? Why you so slow? Lol
That would work too.
I recently bought a 2023 ram 1500 ecodiesel so the oil filter and housing being molded into one. Do you recommend a replacement brand? please lol. Also I crawled under mine and see a nut molded on the fuel filter housing. I assumed the bottom un-screwed like the oil filter but sounds like nope?
I bought mine off Amazon from a company called Kassen and the brand says goopool. I am on the second one and haven't had issues. $50 for 3 versus the same price for one Mopar one. That is just what I am using but use what you are comfortable with. The fuel filter housing is replace all though it looks like you could replace just the filter. I haven't tried tearing one apart yet to see if you could do just the filter. I found on this last time make sure you have a second vehicle before doing it as you may need to run to your local parts store to get a stupid plastic clip when trying to get the fuel lines off.
Its called a plasma cutter.
Yes, it is. The way a plasma cutter works is by electrifying air into plasma.
Drink a quick beer and apply a second coat and I think you’re golden. I usually paint these vertical vs horizontal to keep the dirt from settling on flat surfaces
We didn't have a way to hang it, or I would have done it vertical. Since it is the underside of the trunk lid, we were not as worried. We did do additional coats plus the clear.
You mean the orangepeel or grainy finish or different directions
It's the inside of a hood dude.
It is the inside of the trunk lid. It is two stage so it will be grainy. The full video shows it with the clear.
@@kamasklassics you should have showed the topside with clear coat.
@@Irishrebel092then put some nice underside insulation between reinforcement sections then it won’t matter
@@Whichwaydidtheygo that's the entire point I'm making. The finish didn't matter because it's the inside.
Not too shabby tbh
Thanks.
Looks good! Now I'm trying to be funny.... Cut to a shot outside with a black car on the street with paint over spray on it. 😂
Thanks. That would be funny.
What do you suppose is on the update(s)? Anything noticeable with tuning or drivability?
It depends on which system it is. The sniper system is pretty basic, so maybe some updated algorithms to improve the constant learning. Other systems there are usually some big changes like support for more components or power adders.
Interesting. Yeah, I’ve been running a sniper for a while. I just wasn’t sure if it’s worth messing with. Thanks for the information
Also save the filler neck off you DEF jug it will fit the oil jug too
I am lucky and have station's with Bulk DEF.
What? You read the labels and instructions on things? Whats the fun in that, thats cheating!!! :) Your gonna give the rest of us a bad name, if ya keep that kinda nonsence up... Thanks for showing the headliner installation proccess, I always wondered how it was done. Pretty cool. Thanks for sharing :)
You are welcome. We usually don't follow instructions either. This was one of those times you have to for a good result.
