First successful dive tour with my underwater drone at the Winterhafen in Linz, Austria. Since I used my old phone, I barely saw what was going on. Nice video herr kaleun, I tried once to keep a small pike in an aquarium, not recommended, it grows fast and eat all other life.
Thank you! Yeah, I can imagine :D I remember as a small kid while fishing during a flood, a lot of tiny pike were swimming by like the length of a finger. Then one them ate another pike which was not particularly larger... It took quite a while, it was fascinating to watch. At first it had the other pike sideways (like I knew from photos & books), until it was dead(?) and then turned it to slowly swallow it.
That is an intersting drone. Made me think I could give one to my dad for Christmas. But unfortunatly our water here in northern Germany is very muddy, due to the makeup of our soil. So we would not be seeing much anymway.

200 meters, but I rarely use that much.

Yeah, I also learned that I can check the weather for specific areas like the Weikerlsee, I just checked for Linz and the results were very different... I didn't use weather forecasts for about 30+ years. Now I do.

Nice video Bernard 👍It's interesting what you say regarding the calibration issue - the grabber does certainly affect the centre of gravity of the drone, so for the one and only time I used it with the grabber fitted, and when doing the vertical calibration, I made sure to hold the drone by the body (at the top, near where the tether connection is, and at the bottom where the camera is). I found that it's still a little tricky doing it this way, however it seemed to work. Another way that might work, is to hold the drone in whatever way you feel is comfortable, and then walk round in a small circle, keeping the drone in the same spot above the ground, which avoids actually having to actually rotate the drone using your hands, if that makes sense? As long as you have a clear space around you, I think that could also work! I might try it next time 😅

Great footage! I know what you mean when you say that you miss things when out in the water, it's only when you review the footage at home that you realise just how much was captured by the camera; I do enjoy watching the footage back, for that reason! 😄
Yeah, it is better now with the tablet and also moving to the lakes with way better visibility. But last weekend, I only realized at home that the stuff on lake floor were mussels not patches of dirt.
It's really interesting how soon fish get close to the drone once it is stationary. I don't think that you mean the perch are 'unamused', since that would mean that they are irritated by the drone. Perhaps they are 'unaffected', 'unperturbed', 'uninterested' or 'unflappable'.
Yeah, I thought “unamused” was probably wrong, but didn’t change it. Unaffected is what I was going for.
